Chapter four

Amity's POV:
Ok so...if she likes girls...and I like girls....does that mean I have a chance? Nah. Maybe? "You good?" Luz giggled interrupting my thoughts. "Yep...totally," my cheeks were burning up. I want to kiss her...I know I can't though, she'd never like me.

Luz POV:
God I wanna kiss her, I know she'll never feel the same though. Why do I feel like this.

Amity's POV:
I'm- I'm gonna do it. I leaned in but got interrupted by my parents barreling towards us. "You think you can get away from us that easily?" My father drew a spell circle and directed it towards me. Luz quickly jumps in front of me. "Luz no!" I yell trying to stop her, but before I can the spell hits her knocking her to the ground unconscious. I quickly draw a spell circle forming a shield keeping my parents behind it draining my magic immediately. I scooped up Luz still trying to hold the spell and started running. By the time I was far enough away I let the shield spell go and directed a fire spell towards the area. Luz was starting to wake up, I could see her eyes opening.

Luz's POV:
All I could see was black. All I could feel were warm arms wrapped around me and a sharp pain in my rib. I slowly opened my eyes you see amity carrying me. "You're up!" She beamed, I wrapped my arms around her neck and hugged her tightly. When I let go her face was bright red. "What's wrong Am?" I laughed. She got an even darker shade of red. "Nothing, just rest we will get to a stopping point soon," she said slowing her pace a bit.

About twenty minutes passed and she rested me against a log. "We should be safe for awhile, but you have to understand that when someone crosses my parents, they don't care who they hurt, we have to get out of town, at least until someone gets rid of my parents," Amity explains.
