The Hunter's Seal

It was the next dawn that I was taken back to the Headmaster's office. I was led by Yuki, her hand holding mine all the way to the room.

Once inside, the Headmaster was sat at his desk, a small envelope opener in one hand, and a rather unique looking bracelet in another. He motioned for us to come towards him, and looking at me with that usual happy smile, I walked forward as asked. Holding out the bracelet and putting it around Yuki's wrist and tightening it, he then held out the small blade to me. He nodded, and taking it, I gently placed a small cut on my finger, before the Headmaster placed the blood on the bracelet, making it glow a bright red. 

"What... what did you just do?" I asked, looking at him with my usual serious expression.

"This is a spell used by Vampire Hunters long ago to tame Vampires" The headmaster spoke, holding my hand over the bracelet until the wound had healed. 

"The bracelet I gave you, Yuki, and this tattoo..." he spoke again, reaching out and pulling the neck of my collar down to reveal my Hunter's Seal I had placed on me when I was just a child.

"... Work together" he finished, taking Yuki's wrist and holding it out towards my seal. 

The bracelet emitted a strange and unfamiliar sound, like a bell ringing but at a low and wavered frequency, jagged and high pitched sounds also could be heard as the bracelet was lifted upwards and drawn towards my tattoo. Once the bracelet had pressed itself against the hunter seals crest, a large form of the seal unfurled from my throat, transforming the aura around us in a haze of blood red and purple lights.

Yuki gasped and shut her eyes until it was over, only for her to open them in shock as she looked at me pinned to the floor by the very seal that was created a few seconds ago. 

"Zero?" she asked, worried as she held her hand to her mouth.

"He's perfectly fine" The Headmaster said, his face full of smiles as he looked at me. "He is simply immobilized for a while" he said, turning to Yuki. 

"Yuki, if Zero tries to bite anyone ever again, I want you to use this bracelet to stop him. Kaname has agreed to allow Zero to stay in the Day Class, but only on that one condition" he said to Yuki.

The very thought of Kaname allowing me to stay in the Day Class filled me with rage, not because it wasn't what I wanted, but because he was choosing what I could and could not do...

"Kaname said that?" Yuki asked. 

"Yes, since his dearest Yuki made the request, Kaname just couldn't say no" The Headmaster said, looking at Yuki as her face turned to confusion but also relief. 

'She... asked Kaname to keep me in the Day Class, for my sake?' I thought, my cold and hard eyes now turning soft as I looked at her.  'Why... does she care about what happens to me?' I thought, looking to the side quickly as she glanced down at me.

The Headmaster knelt down beside me and frowned. "I am sorry Zero, I never wanted to use this method on you at all, but in the meantime..." he said, reaching into his pocket and showing me a box of blood tablets. "Use this" he finished, placing them into my jacket pocket. 

"And if you still crave the taste of blood..." The Headmaster said, reaching to his collar and pulling it down, "Feel free to help yourself" he said, smiling.

My eyes narrowed and I reached up for him, punching him across the face and throwing him across the room from me. "I see you can move again!" The Headmaster yelled as he collided with the wall opposite me. 

I stood up and tightened my tie, before heading towards the door. 

"Wait Zero I..." Yuki began to say, before I spoke and said to her...

"It's... Alright, this is... just fine" I said, my tone gentle before closing my eyes and opening the door, and shutting it behind me.

I leaned up against the wall outside. My thoughts someplace else about what had happened earlier. My tattoo throbbed and stung, though it was a gentle pain. Shaking my head, I walked down the corridor and  towards my dorm room. I didn't want to go to class that day, my tattoo was glowing a bright red as I looked in the mirror, and fear that others would notice, I stayed in my room for the remainder of that day, and night... 

Taking off my jacket and shirt I fell down onto my bed, my hair sprawled out on the covers as I closed my eyes.

"Yuki..."
