you slip on your oversized hoodie to get more comfortable and tie your hair into a ponytail (if you have long hair). you sit on your desk, put on your headphones and play some lofi music and start doing your homework.
after 30 mins of continuous writing your hand starts to hurt so you decide to take a small break. you stretch your back and stare outside the window looking at the beautiful colours mixing together in the sky. the sky was deep orange and pinkish. it kind of reminded you oikawa.
"i wonder what he's doing right now" you think.
"probably practicing"
oikawa's inter-high matches start from tomorrow and the team was working really hard to reach the nationals. you wish you could do something to boost their confidence. anything.
they were a really good team. but this was going to be the last year before the third years graduate. you would feel a bit lonely after graduation since you both will have to go separate ways, not that you talked to him anyway. but his presence would make you feel less lonely.
you drink some water and start doing your homework again.
(reminder to drink water so go and drink water right now)
"Ugh..." you a stare at your ceiling laying on the bed.
"i want to do something for them. something.... anything..."
you wake up next morning half of your body hanging from the bed. you fell asleep last night thinking about what to do to boost the team's confidence. you stay in bed a little bit longer. you suddenly plop up on your bed.
"i got it!"
you get ready, drink your coffee and head out. as you pass by the playground you see iwaizumi and oikawa practicing. you increase your pace but oikawa's eyes immediately catch you and he calls you to them.
"hey chibi! where are you heading?"
"chibi?" iwaizumi and you both said together
"well you are shorter than me so i can call you chibi right?"
"Eh- Fine with me" you said
"wait aren't you going to say something like 'im not that short!' or something?"
"is that what you expected me to say?"
oikawa looks away and then asks
"so where are you going in the morning anyway?"
"well... i was thinking after your inter-high finishes i would like to treat the whole team to dinner, so I'm looking for a good restaurant"
(you are not broke chill)
"Awh couldn't it be only the two us?" oikawa mumbled looking at you
"what?"
"oh nothing" oikawa giggles
"that'd be great but you really don't have to-" iwaizumi gets interuppted by you
"i don't take no as the answer, whether you win or lose i will treat you, i just want to do something for you all"
"if that's what you want then"
"tell the team about it, I'm gonna go now bye!"
so this was short but i think I'm more comfortable doing short stories than long, hope you don't mind :)
