'tomorrow's going to be disaster' you remember the words as you are on your way to school.
"today is going to be a disaster"
'oikawa just can't let this peacefully can he?' you feel someone tap your shoulder.
"hey chibi."
"oikawa-san! don't scare me like that"
"oh sorry" he winks at you.
"why are you walking with me we're already late"
"because i want to"
oikawa stops walking. "you're going to be there right?"
"yes, even though i don't want to. you really shouldn't-"
"thank you so much" oikawa interrupts you.
you silently walk together, both of you not wanting to say a word. you arrive at school and you go inside your classroom. both of you take your seats and the teacher arrives. you look at oikawa. he looked calm but he was biting his lower lip. you then continued to stare outside the window for the rest of the classes. during lunch you didn't bother to eat, you just lost your appetite. the rest of the classes went by and then it was time for club activities. you just read a book till it was time for the clubs to leave. you hurried down the stairs outside the gym door and just stood there.
you see oikawa walk up to the team. they looked at him and hanamaki realised what he was about to do.
"don't do it oikawa! let it end peacefully!" hanamaki said.
"shut up!" oikawa snapped and took a deep breath trying to hold in his tears.
"Thank you for the last three years!" oikawa screamed and tears started to roll down his cheeks.
everyone started crying covering their faces. you, who was standing right outside started crying too. you tried to stop your tears wiping them with your sleeves but it didn't help. all of you cried for 10 minutes or more. your face got really sweaty and you could taste your tears. after a few more minutes oikawa comes out of the gym. he sees you crying and pulls you into a hug.
"why... why did you... have to do that" you said barely able to speak in a full sentence.
"I'm sorry" oikawa said and started petting your head slowly and softly.
you wipe your hot tears with your already soaked sleeves.
"come on, I'll walk you home" oikawa said and patted your shoulder.
"no, you should walk with iwaizumi-san today. I'll be alright now"
oikawa stared at your feet for a bit.
"are you sure?"
"yeah I'm sure"
oikawa gives you a small hug again which you wish lasted long. 'how did i even get this close to him...' you started thinking and walked home. as you turn into your street you see a figure standing near your house.
"excuse me? are you lost sir?" you ask politely but a bit scared.
"Sir?" oikawa comes out under the streetlight laughing.
"what? you like to scare me or something?" you let out a big sigh relieved that it wasn't any random creepy drunk guy.
"well i- umm wanted to talk to you"
"yeah what is it"
"would you like to have dinner with me tommorow?"
'wha- is this a dream? what is happening? did someone drug me? am i high? no wtf how can you be high? did i pass out?'
