{ you are in final year of college now }
you and oikawa were together for 2 years but then broke up because it was starting to become a long distance relationship and you became busy with life and didn't give eachother much time, of course you felt bad and you still miss him. you still love him. you wished everything could be back like it was.
you stretch and look at your empty room and sit down at your bed.
"oh boy, it's been a long time eh?"
you take out your stuff from your suitcase and put them in place. it was a break for students to visit their parents. as you were setting all the stuff you find an album in your desk drawer. there were some family photos in the starting pages and then you find some of your photos with oikawa. you smile at the photos but that happiness turns into sadness. you put the photos back and place the album back in the drawer in the drawer you find something else, the necklace. you pick up the box and open it to find a still glittering necklace. you put it on and put the other stuff in place.
"hey sweetie, oikawa came to meet you yesterday but you weren't here yesterday so i told him to come meet you today"
"He's here!?" you ask and your mom/dad nod.
you quickly run outside and go to oikawa's house. when you reach his house you see oikawa standing outside.
"tor- oikawa!" you jump into his arms laughing.
"i was just coming to meet you chibi"
"yeah i know, my mom/dad told me you came yesterday"
"so?" oikawa asks looking straight into your eyes.
"so what?"
"so how's life, got a new boyfriend?"
"life is great and no I've been too focused on studies" ... "so do you have time to hangout?"
"sorry chibi i would love to but no"
"oh... it's okay, atleast i got to meet you"
"well uh see ya!" oikawa leaves and you feel something's wrong.
he seemed like he didn't want to talk to you. did you do something wrong? or is it just because you are not together anymore and he doesn't want to continue being friends with you? this made you heart drop to your stomach. 'maybe he got a girlfriend? he has so many better option than me anyways'. you head home thinking ever possible thing that could have happened that made oikawa hate you. you turn on the television and sit down at the couch and continue to stare at the TV and fall asleep
you wake up and see that there's no one in the house. 'hmm... i guess they left to get something.' you check your phone and it had a lot of messages from the people you knew even iwaizumi messaged you. you check all the messages and all of them said oikawa is proposing to his girlfriend at the mall. 'No... i knew it... he had a girlfriend..' you quickly leave your house and go to the mall, tears falling out of your eyes. you arrive at the mall and see everyone except oikawa. you kept sobbing thinking you were too late. but...
two arms wrap around you and you take your hand off your eyes to see oikawa kneeled down holding a ring in front of you.
"Y/N will you marry me?"
you couldn't say anything you just hug oikawa letting your tears fall out like a waterfall and hit oikawa on his back multiple times with your fists.
"i hate you!"
"so does that mean a no?"
"idiot! it means a yes, of course I'll marry you."
everyone cheers for you and oikawa picks you up and kisses you. he wipes your tears off.
"I'm sorry for making you cry"
"you made me cry? when?" you say and both of you laugh.
"you need to pay rent though"
"huh? what rent"
"Mmm you know, for staying in my mind for so long"
you hit him again. you look at the ring. it's the same ring you had won that day in this same mall.
"i have a better ring but i thought you'd like this more"
"i do"
