Why Would It Be Different

We all get in our gym outfit and head down to the training area. I move slower than everybody else but Denki walks slow next to me. "You okay Shin?" I grin at his nickname. "Yeah I'm fine." I continue walking and try not to limp or make my pain visible.

Once we reach the training area we all get sorted into groups to train and battle each other. My group is Denki, Jiro and Iida. Our mission is to rescue a hostage from a collapsing building. We all start to formulate a plan. "Hey Shin, are you listening?" I snap back into focus "What?" Denki glares at me "We need to know your quirk to see if it can help." I can't tell them my quirk. They'll all hate me and won't talk to me anymore and Denki is the only friend I have. "My quirk won't help any." They all give me a weird glance and go back to making the plan.

The plan is for Jiro to use her earphone jacks to listen and tell us if the building is shifting or nearing collapse. While she does that Denki and I will fight off any enemies that try to sabotage the mission and Iida will run through the building to find the hostage. We all agree that that is the best plan.

After the first two groups have gone it's our turn so we head down and get ready to begin. When the beep goes off we all get into our positions. Jiro gives us the all clear and Iida sprints into the building. Denki and I turn around and get prepared to fight off the villains.

Instead of robots this time it's real people dressed up as villains. Although they aren't real villains they are still plenty powerful. Denki uses his quirk but is careful not to shock anybody else.

I begin to fight people and am good at handling them but then I hear a yell behind me and turn to see Denki pinned by two villains. "Shin help!" I try to get to him but two villains get in my way. I try to fight them off but I can't get there and I see one of them pushing Denki down.

I start to freak out and I still can't get to him so I get desperte and yell "Stop!" Everybody around us stops moving including Denki and Jiro but I quickly release them. "What the hell?" Jiro and Denki are looking around at all the villains who are now standing still and not moving at all. Iiida comes running back out with the hostage but quickly stops when he sees the scene around him. "What's going on here?"

I quickly release all of them and they all stumble around looking confused. The training lesson ends and I quickly hurry to leave and get away from all of them. School is over but I run to the roof. They all know now, nobody will want to be friends with me, they'll all think I'm a villain.

I hear the door open and jump to my feet. I turn and see Denki standing there "Hey Shin..." He stood there awkwardly "Are you here to bully me, call me a villain?" I feel tears run down my eyes and then Denki runs up and wraps his arms around me "No Shin I would never hate you." My breathing shaky "B-but you know what my quirk is now so don't you hate me." He pulls me away from him and looks me in the eyes. "Shin I think your quirk is amazing and nobody should hate you just because of your quirk.

He puts his hand on my jaw and I flinch away from the pain. "Shin?" I look over to him and see his eyes open in shock. "What's wrong with your jaw." The concealer is coming off again! I turn to run but he grabs me and pulls me back. I struggle but he tightens his grip and I can't get away from him.

He starts to rub off the rest of the concealer and it reveals the deep red marks and bruises from my muzzle. I look down in shame and he tips my head back up "Who did this?" I stay quiet and he starts to drag me downstairs. I was shocked at the huge mistake I had just made.

We get outside Mr. Aizawa's classroom and he starts to pull me in but I come to my senses and try to pull away from him but his grip is still strong. We walk into the classroom and Mr. Aizawa looks up from his papers in shock. "Shinsou what happened?" Denki explains and I begin to panic.

Mr. Aizawa stands up and comes towards me "Stop!" I cover my ears and feel my breathing speed up. I pull out of Denki's grip which is easy because he's frozen. Mr. Aizawa's eyes are still on me and I realize I used my quirk again "I'm so sorry." I take off running and I can't focus enough so I hear footsteps behind me. I turn and see both Denki and Aizawa chasing me. I run faster and don't stop until I've reached my house.

I shut and lock the door and look out the window and don't see them. I catch my breath and sit there for a few minutes then hear Chisaki moving around. "Shinsou!" I hear Eri yell and see Chisaki dragging her into his office. I grab Eri from him. "Leave her alone." He looks at me with clear anger in his eyes. "How dare you, I give you a home and you break my rules and cause problems."

He drags me into his office and locks it. From one problem to another, can I ever catch a break. I only just got home. I sigh and he puts me in the chains on the ceiling instead of the chair today. He takes out his whip and takes my shirt off. He began to whip me even harder than yesterday and this time I didn't have a muzzle on so my screams were much louder. Eventually he stops and I can barely stay conscious and then I feel a hand around my throat "Maybe I'll just break your voicebox." My eyes widen and I feel his grip tighten but then he lets go. "Na your quirk is valuable."

He grabs something off the table and then I feel the chains coming off. He lays me on my back and I feel a needle enter my skin "I'll make sure you won't be using your quirk anytime soon." I feel darkness close in and I black out.
