Bit of profanity, why wouldn't there be, it's Bakugo!
"I-i am Z-z-zero-o."
My voice comes out raspy once more, but i burst into a coughing fit on the last letter, my voice still unused to speaking. Obviously this seems to unnerve the Humans. Mina speaks up,
"Zero? That's a nice name!"
I flinch before calming myself. Then i hear a squeak. Nome is awake. He flails around in my arms before i put him down. He tries to run away from the Humans but obviously the large door is a problem. So he tries to run from that but then squeaks madly again when he sees the Man in his coloured covering. Soon he's just running in circles around me before collapsing at my feet. He looks up at me and starts to squeak again and wave his arms around.
(I don't know how Nomes talk, I don't think they ever properly communicate in the games, so their just going to squeak at you)
I crouch down and pick him up again. He chirps a few more times with his hand waving before settling.
I look back up at the humans and they look different again. They look.... like the guests. Their eyes are bulging. Some of them are making strange sounds, squeaks and moans. I quickly survey my escape routes. The door is too big for me to move and the Man's asleep. I might be able to break the large see-through... thing, on the other side of the room. But that would have to be a last resort. Then i see them. A human that might be safe. Instead of being leant forward like the others or squealing in any way, this human is leaning back, seeming calm. My eyes light up and i sprint through the large tables of the other humans and hide under the Calm Human's desk. The other humans turn to look as i run, but thankfully don't try to grab me. When i go under the Calm Human's desk they start to make noises again.
Hands grab me from under the desk, i ready myself to bite the human before i recognise it as the Calm Human. I do the first thing i can think of and climb up Calm's arm and sit with my legs on either side of it's neck and my head and arms on it's head. Calm starts to make noises and move it's head. I grab on tight, making sure not to fall. Calm reaches up to grab me but I refuse to move. Suddenly bright lights come from Calm's hands, startling me a bit as it appears near my head.
I just hold on tighter, showing clearly that I will not be moved. Calm seems to stop and makes a noise instead, a small grunt and sits back down. It's hands move back down to the table.
Soon another Human walks in. They're loud. The Loud Human starts to talk as I watch what it does through gaps in Calm's hair.
"So where would the comma go in this sentence?"
I watch and listen, even without knowing what a 'comma' or a 'sentence' is. It's about as interesting as the conversations the Guests would have from time to time (when they weren't eating).
A loud noise rings through the room. I hear Nome groan slightly and i, myself feel a sensitivity to the shrill noise.
Calm snorts at the other humans as they start to look around. He starts to talk and it takes me a second to realise that he's talking to me.
"Hey, Zero. Look at these Extras!"
I look around again and we laugh a bit.
"E-extr-ras-s!"
Calm stands up, i shake a bit from my perch on his shoulders but I'm secured by his hand against my back. He walks over to the door, it seems a bit smaller from his height, and heads out into the hallway. As we walk, the rocking of his footsteps, the constant movement relaxes me and soon I'm leaning forward onto his hair, the world fading before turning black.
When i wake, Calm is poking me and we're in a different place. It's a smaller room, with pictures that move on the walls. All the humans are sitting, cramped together in this place. Some look at the pictures, others talk amongst themselves, about strange things like 'Herohs', 'quarks' and such.
Suddenly something overcomes Calm and his hair stands up straight, poking me with it's bristles.
"EY! WHAT DO YOU MEAN EXTRA!"
I do the first thing i can think of,
"Ex-xtra!"
I repeat. In the blink of an eye, the room is silent. Then Mina speaks,
"Who was that?! Why do they sound like Bakugo!"
"Look there!"
Some Human points,
Calm mumbles something and the others turn to see where 'Shitty Deku' points.
At me. They all look at me.
"AHH!"
They all scream in tandem. For not the first time, I'm happy that Calm isn't like them.
