"Hey, babe?" Moon turned around to face her boyfriend, Winter.

"Hey, hon. What's up?" She asked innocently. She knew what happened and that their friend group was falling apart.

"Can we talk?" He glanced at his hands and back up at her continuously. Knowing her boyfriend, Moon knew he was nervous. She automatically was, too.

She closed her green locker and grabbed her backpack. She looked at him then down at her plaid skirt, she just changed after P.E. with Ms. Kestrel.

"Sure... What about?" She honestly hoped it wasn't what she hoped it was, but she knew it was going to happen at some point.

"Come with me," he said and started walking. She quickly followed, you could only hear their steps as they walked. Everyone either went home or to their dorms.

She followed him to the football field and sat on the bleachers beside him.

"You probably heard about me and Qibli and that.. you know, everyone is siding with Mr. Perfect-" he started. Moon immediately cut him off.

She gently turns Winter's face so she could kiss him. (No details. Sorry-) He kissed her back, but she knew it was reluctant. She held back tears and waited for him to pull away. Once he did, a few seconds later, she tried to make eye contact with him, but he kept staring at something.

Once she gave up on trying to get his attention she looked in the direction he was and saw... Kinkajou?

She was with the other cheerleaders, but Moon thought they didn't have cheer practice.

She covered her mouth so that no one would hear her crying.

"I think we should take a break," Winter said, finally.

"Babe.. no. Please. No," she said firmly. She wiped her tears away before looking at him.

"I'm sorry, I just have A LOT to think about. I-I'm really sorry, Moon." He stood and started walking away.

"No, please. I promised I'd be there for you. Please. Please, let me. I'm begging you, please." She couldn't control it. She started crying, hard. She reached for his hand, but she barely touched it.

He looked back at her. "Give me some time. That's all I need. Remember, this is only a break... just a break."

Moon slid out of her seat on the bleachers and onto her knees. She cried into her hands and whispered, "He promised. He promised... he promised he wouldn't hurt me.. not again."

"Moon? What happened?" Moon looked up her makeup a mess and tears on her face. Winter was gone someone else taking his place.
