The two of them walked around the corner and back onto the platform where the Traveler stood. The man watched them and Aurora got a feeling. One she couldn't explain, she turned her gaze from the Traveler to what was ahead of them.
BD beeped as they stopped on the edge and looked at the large gap between them and the next platform. "Yeah that's a huge jump." Ara mumbled, she looked at Cal. She gave him a look and glanced at the ruins as if asking if they were really gonna do this. Which Cal nodded so she assumed he understood her question. She sighed and turned around, walking back to get a running start. Cal didn't move but turned to look at her.
BD beeped at her as she turned to face the jump. "Thanks BD for reminding me of what will happen if I miss the platform." Aurora grumbled, annoyed that the droid reminded her of the deadly fall ahead. BD beeped a loud 'You're welcome'. She rolled her eyes as she started running, she jumped. She felt herself probably get a good distance until halfway, she started getting a little nervous. However, she landed on her feet and stumbled a little.
She was just glad she made it to the other side. She turned around to face Cal and BD, she jumped a little in excitement. "Yes! See BD! There was no reason to be so worried." She stated as she stepped closer to the edge. "It's your turn now." She said as she turned towards the temple, her smile disappeared and her shoulders dropped as she saw a large wall. She felt a breeze as Cal moved to stand next to her. BD beeped happily and she rolled her eyes.
"He has the force, of course he would be better at jumping." She responded to the droid. Cal just laughed at her, they both quickly noticed some people ahead of them. Three more of those archers. She sighed as she advanced on them, Cal had his attention on the left while Ara had focused on the right.
Aurora quickly swung her staff, the person in front of her dodged her attack easily. She swung again and then quickly kicked at her attacker's legs. Knocking them to the ground, she saw one of Cal's attackers turn their attention to her.
She stepped to the side and quickly threw out a left jab. Her attacker stumbled, surprised by her strength. Aurora was too busy to noticed the Traveler watching her intently.
"This is taking way too long." She said and with no hesitation quickly side kicked her attacker off the edge. She looked to Cal as he was already done with the enemies he had.
"Totally could have helped me with the last guy." She stated as she leaned onto her staff.
"You looked like you had it covered." He replied, she glanced at the ground and smiled at his response. She heard wood creak and she looked to her right. Farther up the path there was a little wood platform and then the side of a wall.
Cal started walking towards it and Aurora followed. She grabbed his hand before he could reach the wood platform. She stopped him and he glanced at her, questioning her actions. "It just doesn't seem like a safe platform. Ya know. W-What if it breaks?" She asked, her voice full of concern.
His eyes softened a little. "It'll be fine, it's not like this place as been just wasting away."
"Are we on the same planet? Because the one I'm on has definitely been wasting away for a good few years." She stated. Cal took a step forward onto the wooden platform. Aurora held her breathe as he walked onto it. The platform creaked a little.
"See, totally safe." He stated as he pulled her onto the platform. They both glanced at the wall. "It's climbable, but not without equipment." Cal stated. They both looked at the top of the wall and Aurora noticed one of the boulders start to shake.
Finally the boulder was lifted and holding it was one of those men. "Cal." Aurora mumbled. "DIE." The man exclaimed and he threw the boulder over the edge. Aurora's eyes widened as it hit the wooden platform causing it to crumble.
Aurora gasped as she no longer felt the platform below her. Adrenaline instantly shot through her. They fell a good ten feet before hitting a muddy slope, easily sliding down it. They ended up on a brick pathway, Aurora hit the platform hard on her stomach. She groaned as she just laid there for a second.
"Nothing can be easy." She grumbled and slowly got up. Cal was quick to her side and helped her stand. "Are you okay?" He asked her.
"Please ask me in a few moments." She stated and looked at her surroundings. She saw a wall with vines leading to another platform. She made her way over and started climbing. Once she made it to the top she glanced around, she didn't see any pathway. She did notice a rope. She rolled her eyes as she continued to grow annoyed.
She made it to the rope by the time Cal got to the top from climbing. He looked up and saw her already starting to climb the rope.
Aurora made it to the next platform and saw two golden broken doors. She didn't wait for Cal as she walked towards them. She heard BD beep. She stopped and turned to glance at BD and Cal.
They both slowly made it to her once they let go of the rope. "You seem like you're in a hurry." Cal stated and Aurora rolled her eyes. "Oh what gave it away? We are losing time here. Going to the temple seems like a bad idea and after falling, being farther away now, it makes things just a little more difficult." She stated, her voice stern.
"So you are mad." Cal stated which followed up with BD beeping. "I'm kinda mad." She replied, she went to turn back to the gap in between the doors. "At me?" Cal questioned her and slowly walked towards her. "No, not at you."
They both went through the gap. They glanced around and saw green energy pop up and clash together at a ledge high up.
"You will go no further." Aurora heard a voice and soon she saw someone at the top of that ledge. "What the hell." She mumbled as Cal took steps towards, igniting his lightsaber. "Stand aside." He said.
"No." The woman responded. "He was right about you." The woman stated, this caught Aurora's attention. "Who?" Cal and Ara spoke together. "Jedi are thieves and selfish liars who bring nothing but death." She stated not answering the question. "If anything I've probably caused the most deaths here." Aurora spoke up.
The woman's eyes shifted to her. "You brought friends, more killers." The woman stated, which bothered Aurora. "Back off, if you attack me again or her. I'll strike you down." Cal stated and Aurora glanced down at him as he took more steps forward. "Oh, I won't do a thing but my murdered sisters..." the woman said as she summons an energy that flew through the room. Finally landed on its target.
Aurora heard things start to crack and bodies started falling from...pods? Aurora wasn't really concerned where these things were coming from, she was more focused on the fact that whatever was falling was going to attempt to kill them.
"They will have their revenge." The woman finished and disappeared. The creatures hissed and Aurora's eyes were wide. "Who the hell was that?" She said as the both began fighting.
"That was the Nightsister." Cal stated as they quickly eliminated their targets.
Just as Aurora finished one she looked up at Cal. "Well, she seems nice." She said sarcastically. As they both started walking up the path back to the top.
