The Rat

Antonio's POV:

I watched Janet as she typed on her laptop trying to crack a few codes. She sat in an interesting posture. She seemed worried a bit.

"I need access to all security systems to where ever your leads and files are. I have to see if anyone is trying to get them." She said while looking at me.

"I'll talk with Edwin," I said as I started texting. I looked back at her to see her smiling at me.

"Yes?" I asked while raising one eyebrow.

"Oh nothing. I'm just glad you're giving me a chance to redeem myself. I really want to be on your good side." She said

"Then don't cross me and we should be good." I said putting my phone in my pocket.

"Seriously Antonio. I didn't mean to disrespect your relationship," she said sadly.

I didn't know whether to tell her or not that the relationship was fake. I didn't want her to blame herself for this. I was practically single. I just didn't need anyone knowing that publicly. Especially since her dad works with Mr. Sanchez. I also didn't want her getting ideas. Janet is pretty, holds herself well, and she's smart. But something about her doesn't make me feel that way towards her. Even if I wanted to be in a relationship, I know I don't want her.

"Will that be all?" I said while stuffing the divorce papers in my drawer.

"I just need to check all device histories. I need to scan rooms to find burner phones. Besides that. I'll let you know if I need anything else." She said smiling.

"Alright. You can leave." I said turning my back on her.

I heard her walk out the office. I turned around and took the papers out. Erwin walked in confused.

"Why does she want the security access codes?" He asked while walking towards me.

"She's good at catching rats. I need to do this. I can't afford anymore of my leads getting out there." I said as I handed him the divorce papers.

"Boss,"

"Just do it please." I said while turning my back to him.

TWO MONTHS LATER

Kylie's POV:

I was getting myself ready. Today was my last day before going back to Russia. I was quite sad. I should be happy. I can no longer be hurt and confused. I could be in a safer space. Possibly find someone who will actually love me. Never hurt me.

I got finished packing my bags and I heard Camryn screaming. I turned around to my door confused as the yelling grew louder. Out of nowhere, Antonio busted through my door with two guards. He looked through my jewelry and took out what looks like a burner phone. He chuckled then smirked at me.

"Get her." He said with a cold look in his eyes.

I was so confused. I got up and kicked one of the guards in there head. The other guard tried to hit me but I dodged it. I got through everyone, dodging every hit, and started to run towards the front door. But I stopped. All I saw in front of me were 50 guards before me. Out of nowhere, I was hit upside my head with a gun. Knocked out.

I woke up to Antonio lightly slapping my face. I was tied up on my knees. I looked at him but couldn't say anything. My mouth was tied. I looked at Camryn and seen the hurt in his eyes. Tanner untied the cloth on my mouth.

"You know, I was actually starting to like you," Tanner said while chuckling. "Too bad that's over,"

I seen a sad look in Rico's eyes as well. I was so confused. "What is all of this?" I asked. My body felt weak. Then I seen someone I didn't think would even be around me anymore.

"Janet?" I asked

"You of all people Kylie," Antonio said with an evil smirk. "And you wondered why I didn't want you working close to me."

Everyone I cared about was standing before me. The girls looked at me as if I did something terrible. Antonio took out the phone I seen him grab from my jewelry box.

"Each and every single time you met with someone. Your name is even used in here. The least you could've done is make a code name or something." He said in a stone cold voice.

"You think I'm the rat?" I questioned

"I know you're the rat. Not only did a bunch of men I tortured tell me you were the one they met with, this too." He said while turning on the TV.

It was a video of me taking the important leads and files with me. "Antonio I could explain," and before I could finish, I felt a punch in my gut from. The a knee to my head. I kept myself up. I felt tears coming down my eyes from the excruciating pain.

"Any last words Kylie?" He said as he held a gun to my head.

"You wanna know something funny?" I started to laugh a little. My laughs grew louder than I stopped to look Antonio in his eyes. "You immediately assume that I was the stealing the leads? Antonio. Look at me." He looked at me then I smiled. "There we go," I chuckled. "Once I found out the stealing was getting worse, I took the leads to my room and put them in a hidden place under my flooring. If you want to check, those leads are still there. Your most important ones in fact. And that phone? Geez I know I've been gone a lot but not meet with people," I laughed loud then stopped to make a straight face. "I was gone to get away from you. I wanted to be in peace. Though, no matter how much you hurt me and put me through, I was still loyal to you," I said.

"ENOUGH! I'm sick of the bullshit," he yelled. I heard the click of the gun.

Emily ran out the room crying.

"Janet I have a question to ask before I die,"

"What?" She asked confused.

"Why were you mad at Antonio when he told you he was married?"

"W-What?" She asked

"I don't like repeating myself," I said mocking Antonio.

"I wasn't mad. I was just embarrassed. That's why I left so quickly." She said in a hurried tone.

"No, Antonio said you left upset after he told you. You were jealous. This is what you want, isn't it Janet. You want to get rid of me." I said neutrally.

"Stop with the bullshit Kylie, I'm done. The evidence is locked in." Antonio said moving closer to me.

As he was about to pull the trigger, I said "Remember what I said about me being right while we were on the boat. Remember what I said during our argument." He stood there quiet. "You're not mine and I'm not yours." I mocked myself while pointing my head to Janet.

"Bye Kylie." He said in a dark tone.

I closed my eyes then heard two people hurry in the room.

"I think the hell no," Emily said standing next to Andre. "Everything she said was true Antonio. She's not the rat. Janet is. She said giving him papers with fingerprints.

Camryn and the rest of the girls untied me. Then we heard a recording of Janet and a bunch of men plotting against me. I was relieved but at the same time, still felt like shit. Antonio turned to Janet and unhesitatingly shot her. He then walked out saying "I need a drink. I won't be home."
