-Adrien-

I can't believe I went to see her last night, the girl that made an unforgettable impression on me when we first met, the only one to actually give me a challenge during fencing, the one that knew how it felt to be isolated from the world. I could never forget about Kagami.

It was like a scene from a movie, her running across the street looking so beautiful, so breathtaking, that I couldn't look away. My gaze lingered on her. And then time had stopped in itself when she stared back.     We were in our own bubble, that's when I realised that maybe she could be my soulmate...

I know the reason that she left before the light even started to turn green was Marinette, who just went quiet during our dinner. They were friends right?

After I dropped Mari off at her place, I called Kagami. She answered after the first ring, gave her address, and hung up. She's always been so mysterious.

So, I played her little game and wound up at Le Grand Paris. The elevator ride gave me sometime to think about what she actually wanted me over for, but all my thoughts drizzled away as I stepped out on her floor and knocked at her door.

"It's been a while." She smiled, brushing her cute bob. While everyone around here has changed, mostly their appearance and habits, Kagami is one of the few that stayed timeless, still reminding me of that fierce girl I just couldn't say no to.

"I've been meaning to come around but I've been busy." I invite myself in, hanging my coat on the arm chair in the rooms hallway. "How was the Olympics? I still never asked you about it. You're being celebrated all over Paris."

This year was the 2024 Olympics that France hosted in it'a capital. I made sure to watch all her games, calling her after every match, sending flowers to her, and going to the finale, which she won.

"It brought great honour to my family name, so I was pleased. But I'm not interested in that." We sit down in the living room of her suite. "I saw that you've been spending time with Marinette. I almost forgot about her until I saw the picture of you kissing in the rain."

"You of all people should know that was taken out of context. She's-"

"Just a good friend? I've heard that before, Adrien. She'll just land up breaking your heart, we both know that."

When Marinette left for New York, it was a really dark time in my life, it was like losing someone forever, even though she was just a plane ride away. I've always thought she just saw me as an annoying or intimidating, because she could never speak to me without stuttering, but our friendship slowly grew and I learnt to rely on her- a common occurrence that always causes me heartbreak. Then she stopped talking to me completely and Kagami was the only one I confided in.

"Things are different this time."

"Yeah, because Luka's there too." She retorted, remaining calm. I knew whenever she spoke in that composed voice that her anger was burning inside.

"I don't know why you're so upset."

"You'll never understand."

"Kagami." I plead. "We've always told each other everything." I continue asking, and I can see the tea cup in her hand shaking. I open my mouth once more, being selfish, and the next thing I know, the cup hits the wall, shattering.

"BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!" Her voice rings in my ears, and it takes me a moment to comprehend what she just told me. She...loves me?

"I didn't know..." I murmur, barely audible, but she hears it anyone.

"Of course you didn't, you can't even see that Chloe or Lila or even Marinette love you too. You've always been so oblivious." Her voice breaks, mirroring the tea cup.

Marinette loves me? She couldn't, right?

I can't control all the thoughts running rampant in my head, so I do the only reasonable thing I can thing of. I pin Kagami down, her teary eyes are blazing and she gives me a slight nod,

and then I kiss her.

I land up staying the night, but after the electricity we shared, we decide not to sleep and we stay up for hours talking. She tells me to go to sleep and brushes my hair with her fingers and before I know it I'm in the dreamscape.

That's when I realise this blueberry got here before me because I would never try to woo my lady with some sort of backstage area. Viperion meet and greet? How cocky.

I try to go down the hallway but a hologram of a woman stops me. She tells me I need to wear something, gesturing to a t-shirt. I sigh and do as she says.

When I finally get behind the door I see them sitting down like this is an actual fan meet-up or something, and she's looking genuinely lovestruck. I can't help but glower at them, feeling my heart burn. I've had too many emotions tonight.

"Am I interrupting something?" I make myself know, feeling myself frown as I do so.

Blueberry speaks first. "Not at all." That stupid smile on his face makes me roll my eyes, and I decide that I don't care what my lady thinks.

She sees this and stands up for him, and tells me that he's in love with another girl and he was just telling her about it, and that I don't have to compete.

The worst part is that it feels like I do, like I'm at war with myself. She looks so cute as she tells me this. So I retort by asking why he's not with his lover girl then. It's not fair that he just sprung up out of nowhere.

I can see she's irritated, although I did no wrong. "Enough about him, where were you?"

Her question comes as a shock to me, so I struggle to answer. I cup my hand around the nape of my neck, a bad habit I've had since high school. I can't lie to her, especially when she looks so pretty when she's angry.

"I busy meeting up with an old friend." As soon as I speak, I see something burn in her eyes. Then it fades away into a sort of sadness.

That's when I realise something. BECAUSE I LOVE YOU.

Could my lady be Kagami?

———————————————————————————

I woke up to find her staring at me, delicately touching my face. Without thinking about it, a smile lights up my face. But it disappears when she speaks.

"We're meeting Marinette later."

Heyyyy,

So I feel like Adrien's POV was kinda boring compared to Marinette's but I'll try spice it up next time. It could also just be a reflection of my current emotions but who knows.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed it :)
