Before we begin let me remind of what I said in my authors note a long time ago, I try to keep things concise to what Corpse has told us but I also gotta take plenty of creative liberties to make the story up! And no, his name isn't really Adam for those who've been asking that too.
Okay this story is about the reader having a eating disorder, having a abusive/toxic home life, and a developed fear of male touch in any form because the abuse came from her father. I'm not going to sugar coat it so let's get into it 🖤

(Your POV as a younger girl, you choose the exact age just know you already have a childhood crush on your best friend Adam)

"If it were up to me I'd spend every day at home playing with my dog, I literally hate school" Sarah complained

"Same here, when in life am I ever going to need to know who the 29th President was?" Katie said with a roll of her eyes

"I don't know, but school is kinda nice so you can get out of the house right?" you spoke up

Both of them looked at you a bit funny.

"My dog, computer, and food is all at home. Girl there's no place I'd rather be" Sarah replied with a laugh

You faked a smile as Katie agreed with her. Was school not a escape from home for everyone? School was your safe place, school was where you could talk.

The school bell rang and you hurried off to your last class of the day. You kept your head down during class, this teacher didn't like you very much. They were disappointed in how far behind you were falling compared to the other students.

Why you had such a hard time focusing and remembering the topics you studied in class was unknown to you. Still you tried your hardest to pay attention during the lecture and took notes.

You avoided eye contact and tried to hurry out of the classroom when the bell rung but the teacher called you out by name.

"Y-yes Mrs Jackson?" you answered and slowly approached

"Tell your parents to cover this lesson with you when you get home, I mean it okay?" she said

You nodded and rushed off. After saying goodbye to your friends you walked the short way home. Dread filled you when you came to your house. Hopefully dad wasn't home yet...

"Mom? I'm home" you announced cautiously, entering the warm house

"Hi Y/N" she replied from where she sat in the living room

"Is dad home?" you questioned

She shook her head no and opened her arms to you. You hugged her tightly.

"Can you help me with math, mom? I hate to ask but..." you asked quietly

"Yes I'll help you sweetie I can't right now though okay? Go shower before your father gets back from work" she answered

"Okay" you agreed and ran off

You showered as fast as you could but not fast enough. There was a knock on the door and you jumped in surprise at the action. Your heart sped up within you.

"Don't waste so much water Y/N" your fathers voice called from outside the bathroom

"Yes sir, I'm almost done" you said back

'Hurry up, hurry up, hurry up' you repeated in your head. Don't be wasteful, you reminded yourself and dried off with a single towel. You preferred two towels so you could have one for your hair but that was no reason to be wasteful.

You dressed before retreating to your room and exhaling in relief once you were safely inside. You made sure your door was locked before getting your iPod. Grabbing your headphones, you played music to study to. You'd heard that overuse of headphones could damage your hearing but listening without headphones was even scarier. Your dad HATED loud noise, or just about any noise.
