Chapter 7: Lucky Dog

-Abiantei- (A few minutes ago…)

“Hey, fag” a group of students walked up to me as I got to my locker.

I had to clear a few things up with the teacher last class so I was late to get my lunch but it didn’t bother me, I’m fine being alone. What I’m not fine with is being called a fag.

Slowly turning to the group now in front of me, I gripped my binders in my hands tightly just to make sure no one could slap it out of my hands. It turned out that I had to look up at the people because they were so god damn tall. There were four people, three of them are guys and one of them is a girl. None look nice at all.

“What do you want?” I said flatly, trying to sound brave.

The biggest one in the group looked like one of the football players from the team, athletic appearance, big muscles and charming eyes. He looked around 6 foot 2. I would’ve thought he was sexy too if he wasn’t looking at me like some disgusting rat.

“What do I want?” The foot player raised a brow at me. Then he started to laugh, “little gay seems to have some guts after all!”

His group started to laugh as well, the girl giving me a smug smirk. She had long, black hair with piercing dark eyes. She wore mostly leather and looked like a model from Hot Topic. The other two boys looked just as fierce. One of them had a criminal look and the other looked like he can break down a wall if he wanted to.

The criminal guy had short brown hair and long fingers. He had a slender figure, not much muscles but his face made me think otherwise. The hulk guy didn’t look so smart but I wouldn’t go teasing him around either when he can pretty much crush your skull. He had black, unkempt hair with unnatural looking brown eyes. Was it brown or amber?

“Lookie here, buddy” The leader, I assume, punched the locker beside me and dented it. I practically jumped ten feet up in the air, shaking from head to toe. He leaned close to me, taking his hand away from the locker, “I don’t like gays like you. You’re a disgrace to your species, kid. Just living like you do, it disgusts me”

I tried to speak but all that came out was a whimper. What do I do? Do I run for help? My feet currently feel like their glued to the ground now. Should I scream? I can’t really find my voice right now and that would probably get me killed.

His friends chuckled darkly behind him and I knew I was dead. My eyes darted around the hallways, looking for a teacher that might walk by or anyone else.

“Hey! Don’t ignore me!” The football player’s hand grabbed me by the throat and lifted me up like it was nothing, “just look at you, such a worthless, scrawny little bitch. I can break your neck right now if I wanted to but that wouldn’t be fun wouldn’t it?”

His hand tightened around my neck and I dropped my stuff. I grabbed at his hand but it was like steel, it only got tighter until I was no longer able to breathe. He threw me hard into the lockers and I slid down, gripping my arm in pain. I coughed and gasped for air while the other laughed at me.

“Not so brave now aren’t you?” The leader sneered at me.

“And what’s this?” The guy with the criminal look picked up one of my binders on the ground, “oh, looks like you have a science test in a few days, huh? A pretty big one too, what is it? Chapters 4-6?” he flipped through the papers then turned to me, “you should really keep your notes in a safer place, kid. Who knows? Someone may come by and rip them out”

When he said that, he teared out all of my notes then dropped the binder. He shredded all of the notes then crumbled it up in his hands. All I could do was stare in horror as everything I had taken down in the past few months get torn apart just like that. Why me? I didn’t do anything to them, why are they-
