Burden (Chuuya x reader)

You were one of the members of Port Mafia, working with Chuuya. You though that you're a terrible team, because he was getting angry very easily and you were really unexperienced , making many mistakes, that's why he was always mad at you. You felt bad. It was making you feel like you need to be better no matter what.

You just came from a mission, texting the only friend of yours that you trusted enough to even tell her/him/them that you're in Port Mafia.

(Y/N): Hi

(F/N): So your mission is over?

(Y/N): ye.

(F/N): I'm always a bit worried that you'll get killed. I don't want to lose anymore friends.

(Y/N): don't worry. I have to be allright.

(F/N): Have to? You always write like this when you don't feel ok. Let me guess, it's because of that guy you love?

(Y/N): His name is Chuuya.

(Y/N): wait what no I don't love him! I told you about million times! 🤬

(F/N): oh come on... I know you for years. And I also am not that stupid, It's obvious that you are in love.

(Y/N): I DON'T LOVE HIM!

(F/N): really? Then show me some proof.

(Y/N): Why don't you show any, when you started this?

(F/N): ok.

(F/N): You always blush while talking about him.

(F/N): When I said "that guy you love" you said his name is Chuuya.

(F/N): You are talking about him almost every day.

(F/N): You get angry even when somebody says that you like him. You're such a tsundere.

(Y/N): stop please. It's enough.

(F/N): so you are finally going to admit it?

(Y/N): I'm not sure if I really love him. Maybe I only have a crush, i don't think it's true love. But it doesn't matter, it won't change the reality that he hates me.

(F/N): are you that sure of that?

(Y/N): yes. He's always mad at me, he's yelling at me for every mistake I make... he really must be so tired of me.

(F/N): Why don't you try to tell him how you feel? He may understand and maybe he'll at least not be that hard on you.

(Y/N): that won't work. And I have to go. Bye.

You didn't want to talk about it anymore. You didn't want to even think about him anymore. Your friend probably was right, you loved him. But it was only bringing you much more pain.

You messed your mission up again. That's why you were feeling bad about yourself. Chuuya had to save you again.

*flashback*

You were standing there and shaking, while he took the bullet that would kill you and used it against the enemy with his ability. He finished off the enemy and then spoke ,,Why are you just standing there, baka? You want to get killed so badly?" ,,N-no I just-" he didn't even give you the time to finish a sentence. ,,You're way too slow. Next time when you mess up, I'll let you die! You're nothing more than a burden to me!" Then he left you there, crying, not able to say anything.

*end of flashback*

Thinking about that moment, you started crying again. He really want you to die, right? You couldn't take the feeling of being only a worthless burden to somebody you loved. You knew you need to improve till the next mission so you'll at least be able to dodge attacks. In the beginning you didn't know how, but then you decided. You're going to every night go out, trying to find some dangerous people or groups and fight them. That's how you could practice your fighting abilities. You were not stupid. You realised that you're risking your life like this. But you didn't care anymore. You just wanted Chuuya to accept you, you wanted to be good enough for him. You wanted him to appreciate you.

The first few nights were not that interesting, you found some enemies, and even if few times you got a bit hurt, it was not really serious and you were able to beat them up without bigger problems.

But when you went out that night, you were a little bit scared. You knew something is about to happen. But you still went there. Because you had to. You did it for him after all. Because of training all night, you were really tired and your reflexes were slower. But you still tried.

Before you could realise it, some people with guns took you into a dark alley and took your hands so you couldn't fight. You didn't even have any ability so you really felt lost. They were whispering something to each other, then one of them asked ,,Are you (Y/N) (L/N)?" ,,Y-yes... uhm... do you need something?" You asked, shaking. ,,It won't be fun if we tell you."

,,Let go of her, fuckers!" You herd a familiar voice. It can't be...

It was him. They tried to shot him without knowing he can use it against them so easily, in a few seconds all of them were dead, that made you feel as a fool again, because you were not able to hurt them even a bit.

Chuuya was coming closer to you. You were scared. He sure will yell at you for getting into trouble again, saying you're a burden and he should've let you die, as he always does.

,,Are you allright?" He asked instead. You didn't believe to even hear such thing from him. ,,Hey (Y/N) are you allright?" ,,Y-ye." You said, still shaking, with eyes filled with tears, waiting for him to start yelling at you. But he didn't. He took your hand saying ,,This place is dangerous, you should not go to other groups' territory." Taking you back to a place you knew.

,,H-how did you find me?" You still didn't understand that. ,,The friend of yours somehow got my number and she/he/they called me out of nothing telling me everything, scared because you're not taking a phone for a long time."

,,But how did you know where I am?" ,,Phones have GPS. I could see your location."

You got to his home. ,,Are you injured?" He asked. ,,No." you didn't understand. He acted weird (compared to what he normally acts like)

,,Can I go home?" You asked. ,,No. I want to make sure you won't make something stupid again, you're staying here tonight."

Then you realised something. ,,As you said that my friend told you everything, what do you mean by everything?" You were not sure if it's a good idea to ask, but you just had to. You needed to know. ,,That you're a bit too hard on yourself, that you think I hate you, that you're going out to train every night because you want to improve..." ,,I-is that all?" ,,Ye."

A large stone has fallen off of your heart. You couldn't even look into his eyes knowing he knows that you love him.

,,(Y/N), I'm sorry if I was too hard on you. I didn't mean it that way, you're not weak, you're not a burden, you don't deserve to die. You also are pretty smart. I just really didn't want you to get hurt." He said out of nothing. You kind of started worrying about him again, he never was acting like this, he never was so kind and understanding. And this actually was making you fall for him even harder.

,,You... you really mean it-..." he pulled you into a hug just out of nothing. You didn't know how to react, all you did is trying to hide your face somehow so he couldn't see how much you blushed. ,,Ye. I can't believe it, too, but I think I love you, (Y/N)" ,,Whaaat?!" You thought there's no way this could happen. It was so unbelievable.

Before you could realise what's happening, he was kissing you. It was your first kiss, and the most beautiful thing that happened to you in a long time, maybe even your whole life.
