Dear Akaashi-kun,

Well, one of two things might have happened to this letter. One, I actually gathered enough courage to give it to you or two, I chickened out and threw it in my desk.

In the case that it's option two and I'm the one rereading this, you're an absolute idiot and this is why no one fucking loves you. In the case that it is you Akaashi-kun, then please ignore my dumbass comments above.

I'm sorry if this letter seems like a bit of a mess, but the reality is that I've never written a letter to anyone before. This is the first time someone has ever made me feel as strongly as you do. I'm writing this letter to confess my love for you. I've been in love with you for the past year now. Although I doubt you ever noticed me. I wouldn't be surprised, I usually keep a low profile. We're in the same class, and I often get to admire you from afar. It's always interesting to watch the different sides to you (in a totally not creepy way I mean. Don't mean to sound stalkerish).

I've kept my feelings for you to myself for a while I doubted that you'd feel the same. I am scared of rejection from you because I know that nothing else would bring the same kind of pain as you not accepting my feelings for you. As such I've resorted to using an anonymous letter to convey this message to you until I can work up the courage to face you myself.

To me, you seem to go unappreciated. I often hear our classmates fawn over how good looking you are and how impressive your body is (I wholeheartedly agree to be honest) but they never talk about anything past that.

They only see the physical. They see your body, but my love for you is more than skin deep. My feelings for you grow every day, and my love grows deeper with every passing minute. You mean so much to me. Just seeing your smiling face or hearing your heart-melting voice brightens up my worst days and makes them more than just bearable.

I hope this letter doesn't freak you out or make you uncomfortable. I apologize if it does, and it's totally okay if you want to throw it away. But I'm hoping that it at least made you smile a little. Or brightened your day like you always do to mine. Enjoy the rest of your day Akashi-kun.

P.S I hope you like the sweets I left in the envelope

Sincerely,
Anonymous

Akaashi found himself rereading the letter several times, his mind raced as he tried to process the contents of what he just read. He flipped the paper back over again, searching the back of it to see if the sender had left a signature behind. He frowned as he found nothing but his name neatly written on the (f/c) envelope.

"AKKAASSSHIIIII!!" The setter was brought out his thoughts by his loud captain. The ace was in one of his moods as usual after he had missed a cross-shot during practice. He was moping around the locker room and had spotted Akaashi standing at his open locker rather than changing so they could leave together.

"Akaashi?" he said quieter this time, peering over the shorter boy's shoulder to see what was in his hands.

"Huh? What's that Akaashi?" After a moment of silence, he responded with a quiet "I'm not quite sure."

Before his senpai could question him further, he stuffed the letter and envelope back into his bag and hurriedly changed, ignoring all the questions from Bokuto. For the rest of the evening, the letter weighed heavily on his mind as he tried to figure out who the mysterious admirer could've been.

The thoughts never left him even as he sat at his desk that night finishing up his homework. Out of pure curiosity, he reached for the envelope once more and reread it for what felt like the tenth time. He retrieved one of the small (f/c) foil-wrapped candies and popped it in his mouth. He hummed in approval as the candy melted in his mouth.

Without him realizing it, he had gone through the small stash of sweets and he couldn't help but pout when he noticed the envelope was now empty. He sighed and begrudgingly returned back to his homework.

When he tried to go to bed that night, his mind was still not at rest. The questions that had been plaguing him all day seemed not to want him to sleep. Three of them especially kept replaying in his head.

What was that strange feeling he got when he read the letter?

Who was this person and how could they have fallen for someone like him?

And most importantly where did they get that candy from?
