My Beloved Omega

Chapter 4

When I woke up I was glad to see that Alexa was still in my arms. She was practically laying on top of me with our legs intertwined, her face and left arm were on my chest while my right hand had somehow intertwined with hers ,filling my whole body up with electrical shocks, to be honest just looking at her made my heart skip a beat. I wouldn't mind waking up like this more often.

I gently stroked her face and smiled at her sleeping face.

~She's beautiful isn't she?~ I heard my wolf Tyler say to me which kinda surprised me because he hasn't communicated with me in over a month.

'Yes she is, where have you been?' I asked a little angry. How could he desert me when I needed him the most.

~I'm sorry for disappearing on you. I stopped talking to you so you could leave that dreadful place we called home. I make you become more submissive so I knew that if I disappeared for a bit then you would be able to follow your instincts and leave that place we once called home. If you haven't noticed, you are stronger without me than with me.~ Tyler explained in a sad voice.

'Tyler you and I are stronger together. We now have a mate and we must work together in order to be able to protect her, just promise me that you will never do that again.' I said to Tyler in hopes of helping him get over his guilt.

~You're right Nick, we'll work together to be stronger, there is more to us than the omega that our family manipulated.~Tyler agreed.

I suddenly felt Alexa stirring around so I looked down at her in time to see her eyes opening.

"Good morning." I said to Alexa before gently kissing her cheek causing her to send a lazy but beaming beautiful smile at me.

"Good morning. What time is it?" she asked looking around probably for a watch or her phone.

"I'm not sure, probably 08:20." I said looking at how the sun looked outside in order to measure the time.

"It's still too early. Let's sleep a bit more." She whined already closing her eyes. I suddenly recognised the familiar urge to pee.

"Okay, but I have to use the toilet first." I said and tried to stand up only to wince in pain, pain from my knee and ankle. The leg that I remember spraining as I was running away.

"Are you okay." Alexa asked jumping up and coming towards me.

"I'm fine just a little sprain." I weakly smiled at her trying to reassure her, damn 'I'm weak' was the first thing that came to my mind.

I pushed myself to walk to the toilet trying to ignore all the pain just for my leg to buckle causing me to nearly fall luckily Alexa had not seen that.

I quickly did my business and then painfully made my way to the bed, swallowing all the pain and hoping that it wasn't showing on my face. When Alexa saw me coming she opened her left arm so that I could slip in under. The moment that I did, she threw her arm around my waist and lightly dug her head onto my bandaged chest doing her best not to hurt me, then mumbled one word. "Sleep".

"But I'm a natural early riser." I said amused by my mate's love for sleep.

"Don't care, I'm still sleepy so let's nap just for 2 more hours then I'll get you some food since you haven't eaten in over 12 hours." She quietly mumbled. "Or are you hungry right now?" She asked raising her head and looking up towards me.

"No, I'm still okay." I said trying to sound convincing even though I felt hungry the moment that she spoke about food, but I wanted her to get her rest.

"I doubt it, I'll go and fetch the sandwich that I made for you yesterday while you were sleeping." She said hopping off the bed and moving towards the door. "Be back in a sec." She said before I heard her foot steps going down the stairs and then about 3 minutes later she came back with my food and some mango juice I think.

"Eat." She said looking at me straight in the eyes, daring me to object, if only she knew how hungry I was. I quickly ate my food and drank my mango juice completely forgetting about the fact that I hadn't brushed my teeth yet.

"Thank you." I said feeling satisfied and suddenly sleepy but knowing that I'd feel hungry again when I wake up. "Come, let's take the nap that you wanted." I said laying down and releasing a yawn.

"Let me just take these things to the kitchen, you go ahead and sleep. I'll come back to join you." She said and the she kissed my cheek, took the plates and made her way to the kitchen. I decided to wait for her either way.

~Now that we have a mate, you better start taking care of yourself. We can't have our mate worried about us for the rest of our lives. You need to start eating more, we both know that you're underweight so from now on you need to eat properly no skipping meals and of course there is no Mom or Dad to starve you.~ Tyler scolded.

I hummed in agreement knowing that he was right.

"You're still awake". Alexa exclaimed in surprise. "You looked close to passing out so it's surprising that you are still up." She said climbing into bed even though it was probably 9am now.

"I was waiting for you. Now that you're here we can nap for a bit." I said stifling a yawn.

The moment she was back in bed, I pulled her by the waist so that she was close to me and then I finally let my eyes close and fell asleep.

The second time around Alexa was the first to wake up between the two of us. I woke up to soft caresses on my face going down to my neck, over my lips, over my eyelashes, practically anywhere that they could reach.

"I hope that you like what you see." I said with my eyes still closed.

"Very much, I couldn't have asked for a better soulmate." She said with nothing but honesty in her voice.

I opened my eyes and was met with the beautiful face of Alexa. She was gorgeous with the morning light lighting up her face, creating an angelic like appearance.

"You are so beautiful." I muttered admiring my mate.

"Thank you, you're not that bad yourself." She giggled in ecstasy. "How are you feeling?" She softly asked me while touching the bandages on my chest with a sad look on her face.

"I'm okay Baby, don't worry about it." I said softly taking her hands in mine and gently kissing every knuckle.

"Baby ha?" She said with a little smirk.

"Is it too fast?" I asked slightly worried that maybe I was moving to fast for her. She was human after all so some of this and the approaches might be too much for her, so I want to make sure that I'm moving on a comfortable pace for her.

"No, I actually like it. I'm happy to know that you feel comfortable enough with me to be affectionate and call me using a pet name." She said running her fingers through my hair, gently massaging it and making me sigh in bliss.

"You like?" She asked as she carried on to massage my sculp.

"More than you know." I responded.

"Okay we'll carry on with this later, for now I have to put food into your stomach." She said getting off of the bed. "Would you like to go downstairs for breakfast or are you still not comfortable enough with meeting everyone just yet?" She asked and it honestly touched my heart to know that she considered me that much.

"Let's go downstairs. I think that it's time to meet your family especially since they are part of the reason to why I'm here today, with you." I said getting off the bed and going to the bathroom to quickly freshen up first with the help of Alexa.
