Epilogue

5 Years Later

Alexa's POV

Today was a special day, it was Nick and I's wedding today and I was currently nervous to no end as I was getting prepared for my wedding.

Nick popped the question on my 19th birthday. He took me out on date night. We went to watch a movie and then he took me to a park. When we got the I saw a long trail of scattered red and white rose petals which lead to a small round table for two. I noticed that the were dishes full of food at a table near the one that we would be sitting at. The was also a small band to the side placing smooth music. We were surrounded by butterfly lights which made the place look magical.

"This is so beautiful." I told Nick in utmost astonishment.

"I'm happy to see that you like it so far." He said sounding nervous for some reason.

"Are you okay?" I asked in wonder of what he could be nervous about.

"I'm okay, my love. Let's go dish up and eat before the food gets cold." He said gently leading me to the table.

"This is amazing, how did you pull it all off?" I asked in still mesmerised by everything as I went to dish up.

"Well I had some help from the family, they set everything up while we were at the theatre." He said nervously scratching the back of his neck.

Nick dished up after me and then we sat down and ate in comfortable silence. Throughout the meal I could see Nick fidgitting around. I was starting to worry about him to be honest, I don't remember ever seeing him this nervous before, especially not when he was with me.

Nick gently placed his utensils down and then moved to kneel before me, leaving me speechless.

"Alexa Lucy Clarkson, I am honestly lost for words, all I can say is that I think that it is time to fulfill my promise to you and exchange that promise ring for an Engagement ring and soon enough change thst for a wedding ring. Alexa, my love would you do me the honour of becoming my wife? Would you give me the greatest honour of taking my surname and becoming Mrs Alexa Rivers?" Nick asked on his bended knee as he pulled out and opened the velvet box with the ring inside but I sadly couldn't see what the ring looked like because of my teary eyes.

I nodded not being able to find my voice and when I did manage to find it, my yes came out in squeaks as I threw my arms around his neck and bursted into happy tears.

I heard the sounds of cheering and looked up to see confetti being fired my Livy, Connor and Isaac as Mom and Dad just clapped their hands. I could feel myself shaking a bit as Nick ran his hands up and down my back in order to calm me down.

I felt Nick stand up with me still in his arms.

"I will gladly marry you, and of course I will take your last name." I said pressing my lips onto his in light and gentle kisses. I could feel him slipping the ring onto my ring finger as he moved my promise ring onto my right ring finger.

"Get a room." I heard Livy and Isaac say just before I heard a whacking sound and painful grunts from Isaac and Livy.

I look looked down to see the ring sitting snuggling on my finger. It was a gorgeous silver ring with one big diamond and the centre and two little diamonds on each side of the big diamond.

Back to the present

Everything after that was just the celebration, apparently everyone knew about the engagement and not even one of them thought that it would be a good idea to hint me about it.

Anyway I had already gotten my make up and hair done and was now putting on my wedding dress. I had my hair in a bun with a few loose tendrils. I had on natural make-up and diamond teardrop earrings with a matching necklace. My dress was a modified off the shoulder A-line with an illusion on the back part of it. It had long silky sleeves which almost covered my whole hands, it also had little diamonds scattered across the bottom skirt of the dress and it and I had on a long train.

"You look gorgeous little sis." Olivia said with a slight bump on her stomach.

"Thank you Livy." I said with a smile.

"Come on let me take a picture of you two." Mom said making us pose together as she took a pic. "You both look gorgeous." Mom complimented.

"Thank you Mom." We both replied as we heard the door opening. We all turned our attention to it only to see Dad walking in.

"Lexi, you look beautiful Darling." Dad said when he saw me. "Nicholas is a very lucky man." He finished of with a smile of approval.

"Thank you Dad." I said, walking over and hugging my Dad.

"Okay so are you ready to walk down the aisle? It's now or never." Dad said offering me his arm.

"As ready as I'll ever be." I said feeling the nerves rising as I linked my arm with my father's. "Let's do this Dad." I said feigning confidence.

I only had 3 bridemaids all three were my cousins, and Olivia was of course my Matron of honour. My bridesmaids walked down the aisle first and then of course Olivia followed after sending me a wink of encouragement.

I took a deep breath before Dad and I started walking down the aisle. The moment my eyes touched Nick's I felt happy and all the nervousness went out of the window.

"I can tell that you're feeling better now." Dad whispered to me.

"I am, I guess he was all that I needed to help calm me." I responded with my eyes still fixed on Nick. I watched as tears escaped his eyes as he mouthed the words "I love you" making my heart swirl in joy as I mouthed them back.

When I finally got to his side everything around us just seemed to disappear and it was just him and me. Nick seemed mesmerised by my appearance and that made me silently giggle.

"Do you Nicholas Ashton Rivers take Alexa Lucy Clarkson to be your lawfully wedded wife?" Asked the officiator.

"I do." He said.

"And do you Alexa Lucy Clarkson take Nicholas Ashton Rivers to be your lawfully wedded husband?" He now asked me.

"I do." I said with an uncontrollable smile on my face.

"I know pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride." The officiator said just as Nick removed my vail and cupped my face into his hands and kissed me, with such passion that it made my knees buckle.

"That was mind blowing." I said, wiping off the lipstick marks on his lips.

"I have a gift for you and hope that you'll like it." I said nervously biting my lower lip.

"Okay, what it is?" He asked already thinking about all the possible gifts that I might want to give him.

"Well, I'm pregnant." I said still biting my lip, a bit worried about how he would react.

Nick responded by kiss my lips. "Best gift in the world." He mumbled against my lips before he firmly pressed his lips against mine.
