Chapter 10

Nicholas's POV

As I sat across my mate and watched her eat I couldn't help, but be awed by her. I felt guilty that she had paid for everything that we had bought today. Not only did she buy me a phone but she also bought me a bunch of new clothes.

"Eat up." She said as she pressed a slice of pizza to my lips. I raised my eyebrow at her but still opened my mouth and took a bite and then chewed and swallowed.

"I'm thinking of getting a job that will help to push me a bit until I can start my open business." I voiced out.

"That would be great, you should ask Connor to help you. He is good at job hunting." She said, encouraging my idea.

"I'll ask him before he leaves today." I said taking a bite of the my pizza.

"I was thinking of booking you an appointment with Miss Emerald Stones on Wednesday at around 15:00. I figured that it would help you to start attending therapy sessions as soon as possible, but it's all up to." She said looking at me with hopeful eyes.

"It's fine, Baby. Wednesday works with me. Will you be going with me?" I asked already nervous about this appointment.

"Yeah, I'll be with you every step of the way." She said. I quickly gave her on peck on the lips to show her my gratitude. "Now eat up, so that we can go home and catch Conner and Olivia before they leave.

~ I'd like to go for a little run today plus I'd also like to formally meet our mate.~ Tyler said or more like demanded.

"Tyler would like to meet you." I told Lexi with my eyes looking straight into hers.

"That's your wolf isn't it?" She asked.

I nodded in response.

"I'd be happy to meet him, I actually can't wait." She said beaming in excitement.

"You're more excited about meeting him than I initially thought that you would be." I said in amusement with my face lifted up by my interlocked hands.

"Of course I am, it's our first meeting plus he's never even taken control of you in human form. I bet that he is a playful wolf." She said practically bouncing on her seat.

~She's more excited to meet me than I thought.~ Tyler said with a wolfie grin also seeming to be amused by our mate's excitement. ~We better not keep her waiting then.~ He continued also getting impatient.

"Okay then let's go home, so that I can shift." I suggested.

"Yep let's go, let me just pay first." She said already waving the waitress over to our table.

While in the car we listened to music but besides that Lexi wouldn't stop asking me about Tyler. How he looked like, how tall he was, whether he was really friendly or not and things like that.

When we got come we found the home deserted. The family had gone grocery shopping and would be back by 17:00 it was now 14:30 so we still had some time before they got back.

"You ready?" I asked standing in just my boxers in the backyard.

"Yep." She responded nodding enthusiastically.

"Here goes nothing." I quickly mumbled before I began changing. Bones started snapping and hair sprouted out in every part of my body. My nails became longer and my eyes changed to a forest green colour, in less than a minute I had fully changed and now stood in front of Lexi in wolf form.

Alexa's POV

I stood and looked at Nicholas's wolf form and gosh he was beautiful. He had big forest green eyes and had light grey fur. He looked so adorable almost like an overgrown puppy. Nicholas or Tyler was as tall as my shoulders standing up.

"You're so adorable I could just squeeze you." I couldn't help but to say as I squealed at his adorableness.

Tyler just pouted in wolf style.

"I'm sorry but you are." I said giggling a bit. "May I pet you?" I asked moving towards him. Tyler nodded in reply so with his permission I petted him. His fur was soft and like every wolf his fur was warm.

"Since I won't be able to keep up with your running, you can run around the yard and I'll wait over here for you." I said sitting on the grass but Tyler wasn't having that because he used his snout to lift me up. "But I'm not as fast as you." I tried to protest. Instead of Tyler listening to me he gently pushed me with his snout until I was up and jogging then he throttled next to me with his tongue hanging out of his mouth obviously satisfied with this pace.

"You're a stubborn wolf aren't you, I'm not fit enough to jog for longer than 5 minutes though." I complained but carried on jogging.

After jogging with Tyler for about 7 minutes he let me sit down and then started running after butterflies and birds in the yard while I just watched him. He continued playing about an hour and then he came back and laid his head on my lap with a little huff. I lightly kissed his head and then I stroked behind his ears which made him purr in satisfaction.

We sat like this for some time, but eventually Nicholas turned back into his human form with satisfaction beaming on his face.

"Satisfied?" I asked running my fingers through his soft hair.

Nick just hummed in response with his eyes closed.

"You should probably put on some clothes now, the family will be back soon." I said.

"You're right, we should do this more often though." He said standing up and stretching his body.

"I agree." I said wrapping my arms around his neck as he wrapped his around my waist and giving him a quick peck on the lips. "Now my legs feel weak from all that sitting so could you please carry your dear mate into the house?" I asked with a innocent smile.

"Jump." Was the only he said. I jumped and wrapped my legs around his waist as he put his under my butt. I am happy to say that after being here a little bit over a week Nick has gained weight and looks way healthier than before he has a nice natural build with little muscle but I wouldn't change anything about him or his.

A month after Nick first changed a lot of things changed but not for the worst. Nick has been attending therapy sessions for the past month and they've honestly been going well.

Whenever Nick had to attend I would go with him. Emerald as she requested that we call her, was a nice lady and had suggested that Nick write a letter to his parents and said everything that he wanted to say to them so that he could take that weight off of his shoulders and Nick did it.

He never received a letter back from his parents which saddened him since he still had a bit of hope in him that they would respond and maybe apologize for all the horror that they had caused him over the years. I comforted him and told him that now he had a family that loved him and would never leave him. That day was an emotional day for Nick but he recovered from it. The nightmares have not completely stopped but they've gotten better and are less frequent and that improvement is way better than nothing.

Now about the exciting news Nick got a job about a week ago and he has been enjoying it to no end. He goes in at 08:00 and knocks off at 15:00. He's happy that he has finally doing something and has practically even started making plans for his future business.

Tonight is Friday and since I have started writing exams I'm absolutely exhausted. Nick wants to take me out tonight, and I obviously don't want to me a killjoy plus I am curious with what he has in mind.

"Are you ready to go?" He asked wrapping his arms around my waist from behind and placing butterfly kisses against up and down my neck.

"Yep." I replied moaning in pleasure as I placed my hands on his.

"I've already asked your Mom to borrow us her car, so we can leave whenever you're ready to." He said kissing my cheek before exiting the room.

I am wearing a long sleeved black knees length dress and with it being mid October it was a hot summer night and I didn't need a jacket. I took my silver clutch and made my way out of the room, excited for our date night.
