A boy with a scar on his wrist.
He was the singer of a local band, of which mostly did covers, and Bokuto was prone to flirting with him everytime the man came outside to smoke. Bokuto, of course, didn't participate in smoking, but enjoyed talking to the brunette.
He had a strange, circular scar on his wrist. It, admittedly, made Bokuto curious, though he never found a time to ask about it.
The man leaned against the rough brick wall, propping his foot on it, and pulled out a cigarette. Bokuto watched as his nimble fingers placed it between his pink lips before turning to his silver-haired friend.
"Do you have a lighter?"
Bokuto nodded disconcertedly and reached into his pocket, feeling for the smooth plastic. He pulled out a lighter, passing it to the other.
He lit the cigarette, taking a long drag on it and sending a puff of smoke out of both his nose and mouth. His half-lidded eyes stared down his nose at the object between his lips. Bokuto thought that no one else could look so beautiful while doing something so looked down upon.
A silence enveloped them, hanging heavy in the air. Bokuto longed for conversation, while Akaashi didn't mind the quiet. He was only there to smoke, really, though he would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy conversing with his eager friend.
Bokuto found himself, again, staring at the scar on his wrist. "Akaashi, whats with the scar?" he blurted, feeling a bit embarrassed at the realization that he vocalized his thoughts.
The brunette glanced down at his wrist, as if he forgot it was there, then shrugged again. "Germs burn."
Bokuto blinked slowly, causing the other to giggle quietly.
"The Germs. The old punk band," he explained with a soft tone. Bokuto nodded. He had listened to them many times before, and it wasn't rare for a local band to cover their songs. "They gave themselves that name with the idea that other people could be infected. So at shows, Darby would burn peoples wrists or hands with a cigarette and they would be infected. Its called Germs burn."
The tallers eyebrows knitted together in confusion. "How did you get it? You weren't even alive at the same time he was."
"People that got the burn from Darby could pass it to others. I got mine from my uncle." He let out a puff of smoke, causing Bokuto to wrinkle his nose as the smell. "And you can only get it the right way. If its just some random burn, it doesn't count. It has to start with Darby."
"Thats cool. You could technically continue it, right? Since you got it the right way?"
Akaashi nodded, his dark eyes darting between Bokuto and the cigarette which sat between his fingers. "Why? Do you want to be infected, Bokuto?"
Bokuto's eyes widened at the question and he shook his head quickly. "I don't know- wouldn't that hurt? I'm not a huge Germs fan, anyway."
"That's okay. You don't have to."
"Well- maybe. It wouldn't be good to just let it die, y'know?"
Akaashi rolled his eyes at his friend's indecisiveness. "Do you want the burn or not?"
Bokuto glanced at his un-scarred, un-burned wrist and considered for a moment. Part of him thought it would be cool to have a scar which matched Akaashi's, while the other was utterly opposed to the idea of the pain. He nodded slowly, though still unsure, holding out his arm for the boy to do his work.
Akaashi removed the cigarette from his mouth, tapping off any loose ash that may have been left of the end, and hovered it over Bokutos hand. Without warning, he pressed the end of the burning cylinder to Bokutos skin, sending an intense pain through the boys arm. It went away soon, but quickly returned when Akaashi pulled away the cigarette.
"You did it, Bokuto-san."
Bokuto observed his new wound. It hurt quite a bit, but it made him feel closer to Akaashi. His face glowed a quiet shade of red as the thought of his relationship with Akaashi growing.
"'Kaashi, let's go on a date!"
