I showed up at home late and I was greeted with my older sibling.

"Soooo, you and Luz, eh?" Edric taunted.

My ears went down and my blush grew to my cheeks.

"W-what are you t-talking about?" I asked.

"Oh Mittens, don't play dumb, I saw you and Luz snuggling~~" He teased.

Don't listen to him! Play dumb Amity!

"Uhh, w-who's Luz?"

NOT THAT DUMB!

"I-I mean, I don't know what your t-talking about.." I said.

"Oh wow Mittens! Your so funny, now-." Edric said sitting next to me.

"Give me the juicy details"

I sighed and sat down.

"It was..nice" I mumbled.

"I liked the protection I felt, I felt like no one could hurt me in that very moment.."

I looked back over at Edric, who was invested in my story.

"But- something happened at school" I added.

He tilted his head in confusion.

"What happened?" He asked.

"Luz and Matt got into an argument about something and apparently Matt hates her.."

"But I did get to cheer her up, that's my favourite part" I said smiling to myself.

"Awwwwwe, Mittens! Your in love!" Edric announced.

My face went all red and I looked down in embarrassment.

"Yeah, I kinda have a bit of a crush on her.." I mumbled.

"Ask her out then!"

"WHAT! No! I don't even know what she likes!" I said.

"She likes magic and human food" Edric said.

"Not what I meant"

"She probably likes you, don't worry!" Edric said.

"Y-you really thinks so?" I said.

"Of course!" He said.

I smiled, tomorrow I'm gonna ask out Luz and NOTHING is going to go wrong...
