She was confused. Why was Clayton so mad? Just then a fight had broken out. A girl named Jamie Sanders had hit her multiple times. Just then Lillith pulled her off. "What the hell is wrong with you?!" Said Lillith Pushing her off.
Maria was knocked out since she didn't have much strength at her birthday party. "Hey, what's going on?!" Said the principal shoving kids out the way. She was taken to the nurse's office and Jamie was expelled. "I hated Jamie even before this happened. Now I hate her even more." Said Lillith as she stood by Maria's bedside.
"What happened?" Said Maria immediately lied back down from the pain everywhere. Just then, Maria's parents walked in and told Lillith to leave the room. Since she's obedient obviously she went outside the room.
Her dad slapped her right across the face. "Be stronger. Or I will send you to The Cabin." Her face went pale. "Y-yes F-father." She said scarred from years ago.
"I-i'm sorry I won't do it again." Said Clayton's mother while he heard screaming, slapping, and fighting. "Stop dad!" Clayton said pushing him away from his mother. "Clayton no, not now you will get hurt okay? Go back to your room or go with your friends okay?" Clayton's mom said holding his hands, but at this point, he had enough.
He grabbed his mother and ran out the door. They ran into the car and locked it. But his dad started breaking the window. He quickly drove off, but couldn't go to the police because his dad used to work there and he was good friends with everyone there. So no one would believe him. He drove for about 15 minutes and stopped at a house to have somewhere to stay.
"Hello-" Maria froze, why was Clayton at her house? "Maria, who Is there?" her mother said getting up to go check, but maria stopped her. "Uhhh, mailman?" Said Maria scratching the back of her neck. "At night, yeah right maria." Her mom said going to check who is there. "No, no need, its a friend." She said bringing her mom back to the living room.
"Why are you here?!" Said maria scream-whispering. "I don't know, just let me in please!" he said begging. "Yeah okay fine whatever." She said letting them in. "We're going to study mom," Maria said. "Okay sure just don't wake your dad up, he would hit you again." She said like it was normal, and Clayton look at her surprised. "What?" She said opening the door.
"Your parents hit you too?" Clayton said. "Sometimes- WAIT. your parents hit you?" She said rolling up his sleeves. "Oh, sorry..." She said taking her hands off him. He giggled at how cute he thought she was. "Your cute." Slipped out of Clayton's mouth.
"Wha-what?" She said questioning him. "W-what no I-I said u-uh FLUTE..." He said finding something to change the subject. "Is that you?" He said smirking. "No that's my uhh grandma yeah..." She said nervously. "WAIT I totally forgot, my mom..." He said running out of the room.
30 minutes later
Claytons dad pulled up to Maria's house, he had found them. He cackled like a psychopath and kicked down the door. Maria's mom gasped. "What was that Maria said opening her bedroom door. They heard crashes and loud bangs. Clayton thought about what could be happening and told Maria to stay inside her room.
Instead of staying, she went to her parent's room and woke up her dad. He got angry at first but when she told him what was happening he sprinted to the living room.

It was more of a beat-up than a "Fight" and it was pretty obvious that Maria's dad won. "Our dad was paying the bills, so now we have nowhere to go." Said Clayton scared. "Well go ahead and live with us! I've always wanted a son anyway." Said Maria's dad.
