Part 10: Mix

   Maria hissed at the pain she felt in her lower thigh, maybe she had acted too well this time.

   She reached for the first hand she could feel, but it wasn't Clayton. The next thing she sees is blurry white lights and hears yelling from the cot she was being put on.

1 day later

  "What happened?" Maria said feeling the pain in her leg again, but 2x worse. "Ah shit," Maria said hissing from the pain again. "You had to get surgery because the wound was too deep, you shouldn't have done that," Antwon said worryingly.

  "Yeah yeah, were's Clayton," Maria said. "He went to get you food," Antwon said. "Welp, then I'm going," Maria said standing up slowly. "Why you're still hurt," Antwon said supporting her a little just in case she fell.

"I'm fine," Maria said swatting his hands away and grabbing her crutches. "Okay, but don't blame me if you fall.

2 weeks later

   "Maria, are you feeling okay?" Lillith said worried. "I'm okay, my leg only hurts a little now," Maria said smiling. Just then she felt a back hug behind her. It was Clayton. "I've missed you," Clayton said smiling widely.

"I missed you too," Maria said giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Yall are so cheesy," Lillith said chuckling. "You're just jealous you don't have a boyfriend," Maria said sticking her tongue out. "Whatever I don't need a boyfriend," Lillith said walking to her classes.

"Shes Jealous." Said Maria whispering in Clayton's ear making him laugh. "Can we skip school today?" Clayton said pouting. "No, if you don't get smarter, you will die dumb," Maria said walking to her class.

three hours later.

"Maria come eat lunch." Maria's mom said calling her from the dining room. "Okay," Maria said holding Clayton's hand down the stairs. 

   "Man, that was good," Maria said rubbing her belly as she burped slightly. "Manners." Maria's mom said looking at her viciously. Then Maria cleared her throat and apologized. "I'm gonna take a shower," Maria said leaving the room.

10 minutes later.

"Dang it, I think I left my charger in the bathroom. Clayton, could you go get it for me?" Clayton's mom said slightly smirking. "Sure." Said Clayton forgetting that Maria was still in there.

   As expected he came out with a few bruises, but at least he got the charger. "Mom, you knew she was still in there, why didn't you tell me?" Clayton said blowing slowly on the bruises he had gotten.

   After Maria had gotten out of the shower, she slept in the guest room. "Pervert," Maria said covering herself as she got her blankets out of her room. "I didn't know," Clayton said pouting. 

"Sure you didn't," Maria said slamming the door behind her.
