Chapter 5

Sleepyhead

*Sid's Pov*

So it was long day and after finishing my chores I drifted off to sleep. I woke up as usual and started to prepare my breakfast. I don't brush my teeth regularly, I do it when I feel like so I thought maybe Edward can go with me so I just went upstairs to call him and I knocked at his door, I assumed that he had already gone but to my surprise a few minutes later the door opened and Edward was looking terrible. It seems that he hasn't even changed his clothes since yesterday. His hair were all messy and he was kinda sleepy still because it was hard for him to keep his eyes open.
" Hey, morning Edward."
"Hmm, just give me five minutes." and then he shut the door at my face. I wondered why is he being such a weirdo and then the door opened and the we left for school.

Since there was this new kid in the class the different club leaders who are always eager in search of new members, they showed no interest in Edward, maybe because he is blind or I don't know what the reason is but deep down I know it's not easy as I myself want to sing but I know I can't even if I try.

So we finally reached the school and the day went as usual, classes then lunch break then classes. Ugh I miss my weekends. I could see it was hard for Edward to stay awake as he was drifting to sleep very often now. I wondered what Noah would be thinking of him as he was sleeping on his shoulder.

*Noah's Pov*

I don't know what's wrong with me but I cannot stop looking at Edward. And specifically when he is leaning on my shoulder so very often. Awww he looks like an angel while sleeping. I just couldn't do anything else but to let him sleep. And there goes the bell and school ends. Everyone left the class. I tried to wake him up but he looked really tired. I now don't know what to do. Then I tried once more to wake him up.
"Hey Edward...Edward... Edward wake up the school has ended. Don't you wanna go home?" Finally he murmured something that I couldn't understand so I decided to take him my home. I lifted him up on my back. God he is heavy, maybe because he is made up of long bones, lean muscles and baby soft skin.

WTF am I thinking am I developing a crush for him but I just met him yesterday ughhhhh but I can't leave him here

I carefully rested him on the passenger seat of my car and then I drove him to my house. Though I did notice that his body temperature was quite high but I don't assume he would be ill. He looked perfectly fine to me yesterday.

When I reached home with Edward on my back, my mom looked worried,
"Honey is everything alright? What happened?"
"Everything's fine mom. He just slept and wasn't waking up so I brought him here." I slowly started to move towards my room then my mom said something which bothered me a lot.
"Who is he, I mean you never brought someone to our house not even once."
"Mom this is Edward and he is the student I told you about."
"You never told me anything as far as I remember." I know she was just messing with me but I don't know why I was getting irritated and I literally cried "Mom".
I laid him carefully on my bed and sweet mercy he looked so cute while sleeping. Then my mom came in with some sandwiches and asked him to wake him up. Edward was still not waking up and my mom then looked at him carefully and then sat beside him and then touched his forehead.
She suddenly looked at me and said,"Get me an cloth and bowl with cold water now and call a doctor immediately. How couldn't you know that your friend is having a high fever huh?"

I rushed to do what was I told but meanwhile I was also upset inside that I had the instinct that he may be ill but I didn't reacted to it.

After putting the water drenched cloth on his forehead I asked her,"Is he okay?"
"No he is not. This is not a normal fever. I think it's viral. Listen Noah his body temperature is very high we need to cool it so undress him and take him to the shower, turn the cold water on and make him stand there for at least 5 minutes. Go hurry !
