Chapter 10

The Party

*Mary's Pov*

It was already 7 p.m. and people have now started to come including seniors. I didn't have the slightest idea why seniors also came to her party. Jenny was as usual busy in dressing up. Then I saw Michael and his bandmates. They were all playing at the pool table. Lina was as sitting at the corner drinking something. Our gaze met so I waved at her but instead she just cocked her eyebrow, what's wrong with her. Then I saw Sid and Edward coming together followed by Jake. I went towards but was caught up by a call from home.

*Sid's Pov*

There was something mysterious about Edward and wierd like for example how can he fight so good and why doesn't he uses a stick and I wanted to figure this out. So I casually asked him," Why don't you use a stick dude?"
"I don't like it."
"Okay then tell me where did you learn to fight this good."
"I have learned Taekwondo plus you should know when one of the five senses is not working, the other four evolve drastically making my hearing and smell very sharp."
I was still not satisfied so in order to quench my suspense i threw the bowl of ketchup towards him. And it's unbelievable but he catches it, the worse part is that the ketchup fell all over him. I don't know why this happens but I always end up doing stupid stuff to Edward. Though it seems he didn't realise that he has ketchup all over his clothes. I dared not to tell him. Just then Jenny arrived and I went away avoiding her. I saw almost everyone is here. Then I met Mary and she was kind of looking for someone, maybe I don't know exactly do I just waved at her and she replied with the same.
"Hey any progress on the assignment? Your partner is Lina right."
"Yeah we will start it tomorrow. What about you? "
"Same" I can't tell her that my partner is the worst. It's Ryle, one of Michael's bandmates. He basically does nothing except for playing drums. Then I saw Edward coming this way so in order to avoid him I stepped back and bumped into something or someone. It was Noah. Ughhh why is this happening to me. Anyway he wasn't angry but was looking towards me in a questioning glare.
"Have you seen Edward?"
"Yeah He is right there." Then I left from there.

*Noah's Pov*

Sid left and then I saw Edward with Mary and wait a minute is that ketchup on his shirt or is this some new design. Then the usual smell came, definitely ketchup. I was just going to ask Mary that how did this happen.
"You have to change your shirt Edward." It wasn't me and neither it was Mary. Then we turned to see Jake who then took Edward towards washroom.
"Hey partner can we start tomorrow?" I know this must be Michael.
"Why aren't your dogs doing the assignment?"
"This ain't a joke. They have their assignments to do."
"That's not my problem."
"Come on! Noah please"
"Fine, tomorrow your place 10 a.m. and you better be ready with something to eat."
I then left as I didn't want to talk to him more. So I went towards washroom to check on Edward. I reached towards the door and some rattling and arguing was going on. Jake was forcing Edward to take off his shirt but he was resisting it and I knew the reason because of the bruises and marks on his body. I had to do something so I just called out Jake's name.

"Noah what happened? "
"Oh it's just Mary was... Umm no Lina mmm Michael was looking for you."
"What? "
"Michael was looking for you."
"Okay.... But isn't that weird since when did you started doing chores for that douche? Anyways that dockyard can wait."
"It's Okay I'll do it on my own you can leave." Jake left after listening to Edward.

I was still standing at the door of the washroom while Edward was taking his shirt off. Oh for Christ's sake he looks so sexy but wouldn't it be better if he had no marks or bruises on his body. Ughh what am I thinking. Edward didn't realised that I was still there because I saw him touching his bruises and marks of wounds and he looked extremely sad. He then changed his shirt and started to wash his face when I heard hooting coming from downstairs. I wonder what happened.

(Meanwhile downstairs at the party)

*Mary's Pov*

It's been a while since Edward left. I wonder who did that to him but moreover where the hell is the host of the party. After inviting everyone she herself is missing. Rediculous ! I am sure I saw her a few moments ago. Should I go check in her room, no that's probably not a good idea when I am 200% sure she would be busy with some random guy. What's going on over there, why are they sitting in a circle maybe they are playing something. Since I am getting bored I'll also join them. Just so then I went over to those people and pretty much everyone from our class was there. Oh Jenny is also here, maybe my assumption was wrong this time. Hehehe silly me.

"Hey guys are you playing some sort of game ?"
"Yeah we were just deciding whether we should play 'truth or dare' or 'never have I ever'." Sid was looking somewhat at edge while telling me that or maybe it's just my imagination.
" 'Truth or dare' what are we kids? I am telling you 'never have I ever' is the best." One of the girls said. It was pretty much obvious not everyone was interesting in one game some were interested in the first one, while some were interested in the latter.
"Why don't we combine the two of them" Jake said while walking towards us. Wait a min where is Edward, wasn't he with Jake. Don't tell me he went home. I mean I was hoping, no I wanted to spend more time with him.

"Yeah so basically it would be 'never have I ever' with truth or dare as a bonus. So we'll play the classic 'never have I ever' but at the end the one who didn't drank will give a dare to the ones who drank and the people who drank will ask a question to the ones who didn't which you have answer and if you don't want to then you also have to drink. So, should we start?"
Pretty much everyone got excited after Jake explained the game to them.
"That's our student council president for y'all. Let's get this shit done."
"Yeah it totally sounds fun."

I don't know why but don't have very good feeling about what's going to happen in this game.
