Day I of the internship, October 12:

Current time: 5.00 am

Adalyn was tossing and turning all night. She had no idea on why Ruel was this angry. She was indulged in her own thoughts.

"Was it something I did?"

"Intertwining his hand back was wrong?"

"But he was happy."

"It isn't something I did, right?"

"No, I didn't do anything. Something happened in the meeting. He was happy before."

"Or was he? Maybe I interpreted his feelings wrong. I wanted him as a friend."

"I hope I never lose Coco."

"This all is so mind boggling."

She sinked more and more into her thoughts. Her thoughts were like a hole without an end; like a void. No start, no end. Just sinking down and down without any hopes of coming up.

"You up?" Adalyn heard a croaky voice. She turned around to see Coco, who was rubbing her eyes.

"Yeah. I can't think about why Ruel is so angry." Adalyn frowned.

"I can't either."

"This has happened before? His anger?"

"Yes, but not this much. This is way too much. He used to get a little angry on things like he didn't do a good job at a track or something. It must be something serious."

"Do you think it happened because of me?" Adalyn asked with innocent eyes.

"No! No Addie. He was happy with you. You have to know, he's always wanted a team mate his age. And you came. And you are so nice and kind hearted. It isn't you at all." Coco assured her.

"Okay, thanks." Adalyn smiled.

"I have an idea." Coco said as she sat up in the bed.

"What?" Adalyn asked, copying her actions.

"Let's go for a little morning walk. How would you feel like a morning photography session?" She asked.

"I would love it! Let's go." Adalyn said.

First, Adalyn went in the washroom and freshened up. And then Coco. They brushed their hair and picked up their phones. Adalyn picked up her camera and hung it around her neck, along with a spare memory card in her pocket. They both walked out the door and locked it behind them.

"Where did you and Ruel go yesterday?" Coco asked as they walked out of the hotel.

"We went to a park. It isn't very far from here. It's actually on a walking distance. Let's go." Adalyn said as she led the way.

Coco followed her and both of them had a lot of fun conversations.

"I hate that too!" Coco said while scrunching up her nose.

"It's disgusting. How can people eat pineapple on pizza?" Adalyn said, making a similiar face as Coco.

"Exactly. A fruit doesn't belong with sauce and cheese." Coco exclaimed.

"Period."

"This is the park?" Coco asked while looking up at a park on their left.

"Yes." Adalyn said as she went inside.

"Wow it's so pretty." Coco said as she walked up to a flower bed.

"Yeah it is." Adalyn said.

She removed the cover off the lens of the camera and brought the view finder up to her eyes. Then she began snapping pictures. Even though she's clicked pictures here before, it all was so beautiful that she couldn't stop herself from clicking more pictures.
