To love you
Was to lose me along the way
And to hold on
Was to let go of what you said
I didn't know
What I felt soon went away
I was numb
I was dumb
Deep breaths
As I hope for better days
Shaking hands
When I got to bed late
Cuz the darkness is overwhelming
And the silence is too loud
My thoughts are swirling
And I really need you here
Truth is it hurt
When the knife in my back was twisted by you
Cuz you knew how to hurt me
And you used that
But the truth is
I'd be lying if I said it didn't hurt more
When I walked away
You're the only one I'd die for
The only one I'd kill for
The only one I'd let destroy me
Piece by piece
Shred by shred
Til I was nothing
Then put me back together...
