It was the next day, the sun shone brightly on the landscape. All of the first years where outside lined up in there squads. Each of their trainers stood in front of each group while the head leader of the first years explained their protocol.
"Alright first years listen up! I'm only going to explain this once. Today is the first day of your finals, and I expect the best out of you. Or you won't pass." Shepard began pacing back and forth from each group.
"Now I won't explain what each tasks is just yet, as the Luitentent Commanders will explain that to you when the time comes. All you need to know now is that once you enter there is no turning back unless we turn you back ourselves, and that means you can't come back. Ever. So do your best, give more than a hundred. Right about now there should be three busses pulling up. I want each team to stick together and board in orderly fashion, no racing for the first seat, and stick to your brackets. Now with that being said General Rango's class will board the first bus."
"My class will board the second bus, and General Sharl's class will board the last bus." Shepard explained while all three busses pulled over on the side of the dead highway.
Flare was staring at Shepard with excitement, she couldn't wait for her finals. Her heart was spitting out like rainbows.
"Alright now that you know the drill you are all free to board your assigned busses. Dismissed!" Shepard said.
Everyone got up and headed towards the busses. Flare lined up in front of Stella with Richard and his friends in front of her. They were near the back of the line, Flare peered around almost unable to contain her excitement. At last they boarded the bus, Flare ran excitedly towards the back to claim her seat by the window. Hopping down she scooched over to save room for Stella whom sat next to her while playing on her phone.
Flare looked out the window excitedly and around the bus, she's only been in a bus one time before when she was little. Flare leaned over to Stella with her paws on her knees.
"Isn't this exciting!?" Flare asked.
Stella gave a small nod while she texted away on her phone. In a few minutes the busses made a hissing steam noise before slowly beginning to patrol on the roads. Flare slammed her paws on the window and watched as the busses turned away from her home. She could just barely see it in the distance. Turning the busses drove off towards a way Flare never knew. Glendail. She has never been there but has been so close to it. Shepard walked towards the very back of the bus and sat down in an empty seat in the back.
The dry valley soothed nothing but dust and shrubs. Quickly the busses reached Glendail. Flare's eyes pondered around excitedly, it looked like just a normal town at first before they trailed deeper. There it was like a big city, sky scrapers shot taller than the clouds, and business like buildings sat all around. Flare awwed with amazement.
"Wooow." Flare breathed.
Looking up she saw sky subways all over the place and bridges leading from one building to the next. She's never seen anything like that in her town. Flare quickly grabbed Stella's shoulder and shook her excitedly.
"Stella! Stella! Do you see this?" Flare shouted.
"What? You've never see a sky subway before?" Stella asked.
"No, what about this floating train! It's so cool isn't it?" Flare said.
"That's a sky subway. I thought you'd live here with everyone else." Stella replied.
"Nope I live all the way back in Oriborus." Flare replied taking her glance to the window again.
"Oh, so you've never been here before?" Stella asked.
