Looks Can Be Deceiving

Once again it was now the weekend, Peter and Harley had gotten the rest of the week off of school and when Alex asked why, they didn't have a reason they could tell her. The twins were training alone in the gym when Peter got suddenly very nervous and was holding his head.

"Are you okay?" Harley asked, noticing his brother's pain.

Peter looked straight at Harley and shook his head, "No. Something's happening. I can sense it." He seethed through the pain. "We need to get upstairs, now!" Peter rushed, running forward and grabbing Harley's arm.

"Wha-okay." The boys sprinted to the elevator and made it up to the common room panting.

Everyone was already in the room, they all turned to look at the pair.

Tony looked concerned, seeing their troubled faces, "What's the matter?"

Not caring if Alex was or wasn't in the room, Peter quickly rushed, "Something's wrong, I can feel it. ARGH!" He screamed in pain as the pounding in his head got louder. Peter fell to his knees, Harley followed, putting an arm around his brother.

Suddenly a red flashing alarm was set off and a blaring noise of alert came from the speakers. Kids screamed and the Avengers got ready to attack, Pepper put her arms around both her daughters.

"FRI, what's going on?" Tony shouted.

"There are intruders in the building." Came FRIDAY's life like reply.

Tony looked out the windows, "Put the Tower on lockdown FRIDAY."

"Doing it now boss." The windows turned dark and reinforced and vibranuim doors slid over the elevator ones and the stairs too. "Building on lockdown." There was a pause, "I am being blocked out of the serve-" She was cut off before she could finish.

"FRIDAY? FRIDAY!" Tony yelled; panic was painted over everyone's faces.

Peter's head jerked up when only he could hear the footsteps coming from the stairwell. "They're coming. Stairs."

Steve clicked a button on his watch and his shield magnetically clanged to his arm. "Avengers, get ready for a fight."

Tony double-tapped his arc-reactor and stood in front of Pepper and the girls, Nat and Clint grabbed their weapons from hidden places in the room and went to stand in front of the kids and Laura. Scott and Hope had a similar thing to Tony, they stood in a protective stance in front of Cassie. The rest grabbed their weapons, if needed and moved to the front.

The last were Peter and Harley, Harley grabbed his hidden knives too, just like his Aunt and Uncle. Peter, like Uncle Steve, pressed a button on his watch and the Iron-Spider suit materialized on his body.

Alex stared, "What the he-" She was cut off by a bang at the doors.

The door clashed to the ground to reveal 40 men no less, in black suits printed with HYDRA's symbol, they had big enhanced guns. Bullets and lasers flew around the room, Tony blasted his repulsers at some of the men, Nat, Bucky and Harley used knives for close up combat. Wanda and Loki used magic to stop or deceive them, Vision used the mind stone as his weapon, Clint shot arrows at anyone he could. Thor swung his hammer at the enemy, Sam, Scott and Hope did anything they could to stop them and Steve was in hand to hand combat with six people, using his shield whenever he could. Peter was stuck to the ceiling, making it harder for him to get shot, from up there he covered the attackers in webs, or took away their weapons.

Half the guys were down, Harley was now in hand to hand combat with two guys at the same time, Peter swung past and knocked out one of them, receiving a thanks from his twin. Somehow throughout the fight, Alex was separated from her sister and mother, she hid behind a couch.
