"Anna!" "COME HERE THIS INSTANT!"
It was the headmistress, she stood glaring at Anna with a "you are gonna get expelled look". She pursed her lips and yelled at Anna and sent her to the principal's office.
"THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!" She yelled, "HOW DARE YOU INJURE A FELLOW STUDENT?"
"I-" Anna began.
"I DON'T WANT ANY I OF BUTS OR ANYTHING, YOUR EXPELLED! GET OUT OF THIS SCHOOL BEFORE I MAKE YOU!" Her face was beetroot color now. "OUT! NOW!"
Anna walked dejectedly out of the door, still in her shabby school uniform and shabby shoes, it was another rainy day outside and she was soaked 1 minute after she went outside. She waited at the bus stop for the bus, but it never actually arrived. This was when she saw the boy.
He looked like a normal kid from afar: brunette hair, brown eyes, white skin and slightly curly hair but as he got closer, Anna noticed that his eyes had no life in them, they looked like all the life and soul had been sucked out of them, she also noticed that he had very dark circles under his eyes, giving him a look of constant fever. He stopped.
She looked at him.
He looked back.
He spoke.
"I'm starving, do you have any food?"
Anna instantly noticed that the boy had an unrecognizable accent, it didn't sound American, but it didn't sound like any other accent either, "No, I don't"
"M'kay," The boy said.
"What's your name?" asked Anna.
"Percy, what's your's?"
"Anna, are you from here?"
"I don't know," Percy mumbled "I don't know where I am, or where me mam is, or my pap."
"My parents died." Anna said.
Anna also noticed that Percy looked really skinny and malnourished, "Hey, um, you might wanna stay in the bus stop, it's pouring."
He moved and sat next to Anna.
Anna felt slightly awkward with Percy next to her, he could hear Percy's slight breathing, suddenly, she did the one thing she could do.
She felt Percy's hand.
It was ice cold, and felt like the hand of a person long gone from the earth. "Jesus, you are freezing."
But he was already gone.
She slapped herself, she was sure she was dreaming, one minute he's there, the next he's gone? Impossible, implausible. She got up from the seat and started walking even though it was still raining, and colder now. She took her phone out from her pocket, and looked at the time. 1:00 in the afternoon.
Time Skip - 20 minutes later
Anna finally reached the hospital, Daphne was sitting there, "Hey Anna, your early today"
"Expelled"
"Huh?" Daphne rasped.
"Expelled from school."
"How?"
"Defending myself, everything's gone wrong today," She sat down of the edge of the bed and cried.
"I wish I could help-" Daphne began.
"Don't mention it. Your ill, you need support, it's hard."
"I know."
