Darkness for all eyes to see as the slowly dragging and swaying of the light curtains would move in the ever so faint draft as a deadpan face would skim over the folded scrunched up blankets on the bed yet if felt so lonely and cold as sharp pointed ears would point back with harshness as hatred brewed deep within Duncan's chest as he stared blankly at this cold dead room of his. The memories would take hold of his broken mind just to tear it down even more knowing his cold loneliness that consumed him, that ring was useless now even though Duncan still wore it around his twitching finger that itched with the thirst for blood spill on every mortal he would come across, good or bad, they all deserve to rot in his eyes.

Human meat was a source of food for these monsters as it would be in almost every meal made by them mixed in with other meats so no newcomer would know the difference of feeding on their own kind or eating an animal, these monsters knew how to play their cards right with tortuous manipulative ways to get people to submit to them in a cult like fashion. Humans didn't like these cults at all as the symbol of Chaolathos would be painted on the walls with blood or neon green spray paint to mark the god's territory. Duncan knew his little pawns were always at work giving him and his fellow gods sacrifices of blood, goats, humans, cows, pigs, chickens, deer, rabbits, the list would go one as each cult hide out would always bring something new to the dining room table. Is this this word it was cat and mouse between the gods and humans, or in the gods eyes apex predators versus the prey. These divine entities were unstoppable to man as human life would drop in a quick session of a "hunt". These hunts would happen every month with many ending up dead with their flesh torn free from the bone as these serpent gods were never merciful unless you were lucky enough which is rare in of itself.

"This is my fault isn't it" Duncan would say to himself was his footsteps caused the floor to creek under his shifting weight as he placed his hands on desk that had a mirror perfectly frame in it, Duncan would look at himself in discuss and vial hatred for himself seeing the scars on his face from the past, the past that brought pain wherever he went as Duncan reached a hand to his face peeling away an eye patch of sorts showing his rotten scared up right eye, well missing right eye thanks to his past. Duncan tossed the eyepatch to the counter as his hands where placed against it and he stared into the mirror and spat venom towards himself, "Look at you, fucking worthless I tell you, why would anyone like you, why would anyone bother to seal their fate with you and end up dead years later....when was it...oh right...my fucking anniversary." Duncan bellowed lowly as his head tilted downward in disgust, not with the anniversary, but with himself.

Duncan knew he was alone in this room as Aku had left to tend to other businesses in the kingdom of the gods, Duncan fell to his knees covering his head hearing the voices of memories cry out to him deep inside his mind, Duncan bared his fang as his lips would curl in a snarling tone as his ebony black hair would twisted around his dark scaly finger and silver claws, why him. Why couldn't he just have a peaceful life that was so torn out from under him making him fall into the depths of the void within his own mind as pain and the loss of sanity drove him mad and vengeful.

Duncan got no sleep that night breaking his promise with Aku and the others, Duncan could not rest, He wouldn't sleep without feeling satisfied with what he's planning on doing towards the human race, what he planned to do to them was unknown. . . Yet Death lingered deep within this plan of vengeance upon the human race, Duncan would only grin with ill intent as his jade eye would flicker with life.

Tip Tap it sang again but this time it wasn't silver claws tapping the tone of death, it was icy blue nails tapping at the table covered with fragments of gems and other jewels of sorts as a tail tipped with a soft wintery purple flowed through the air as a door creaked open to the newer wobbly presence as the metal clanking sound of prosthetic leg came into the room, "Kane...hey Candy Kane you up?" the voice chimed in before giggling in such a charming fashion. Kane rolled his purple eyes before turning to face the much brighter warming god as he held a crystal in his hand full of mortal souls.
