Every night when the stars are around, here in the rooftop, I always sees you watching them silently. At first, I thought you're just staring at them but...I once heard you saying things.

You're wishing for something.

Something that I could do. Something that I can grant for you. And something that you could never wish for because all the things you wanted was I already did.

You're wishing for something that is hard to be granted and impossible to get...or should I say, you're wishing for someone that was already in somebody's hands.

For me, that was stupid. You're stupid.

But when I looked at the mirror and saw myself, i instantly laughed because if what you were doing was stupid...then I'm more stupid.

You're wishing for someone's love while I'm stupidly wishing for yours.

That was great, right?

While you're busy loving someone, I'm here by your side and hoping that you can also notice me.

That you can also look at me the way you look at her. That you could also smile at me the way you smile at her. And lastly, I'm wishing that you can also hold my hand the way I held yours so tight.

And by now, you're currently looking at those stars and wishing for something, again. I'm here at your side, silently wishing that you can also notice my efforts.

"Yena, do you think they're hearing me? Do you think they heard my wish?" You asked, still looking at the sky.

I don't know, Chaewon. But I wish they were.

"Of course. I'm sure they heard you. And who knows? Maybe tomorrow, she'll look at you the way you want." I replied.

I lied right? Of course, I am.

I did that because I wanted her to be happy. I want her to smile.

"If someday...i got tired from wishing... could you do it for me?"

I'm doing it now...even from the very beginning.

"I won't." I answered and finally, you turned your gaze on me.

"Why?.."

Because no matter what happens, the one you were loving will never be yours.

"Because once you got tired...I'll be your shoulder. You can rest here in my side." I replied and gave you a warm smile.

You gave back a smile as you looked again at the stars.

You're stupid, Yena! You were also loving the person you can never have.

I can't blame you for always doing that, Chaewon....because I even do the same thing as you; I'm also wishing for you.

We're wishing on a star for the same thing we wanted... because like you, I'm also wishing for something I could never have.

Seconds, minutes, days and weeks had passed....I'm still here, wishing above the stars the same thing you want. Wishing for something we could never get.

But there's something in this day...

... because today, you didn't wish for that thing. Instead, you were in tears...
