(Josh POV)
I walked out of the elevator at ICU and walked over to Jake's room it's been about three months now and I see him just about every day hopping that today will be the day. I walked over to his door and his mom was there sitting in a chair. "Hello sweetie" Mrs. Smith said. Hello I waved back going into his room. His room looked the same as it alway did. The lights where dim and Jake's body lays on the bedazzled it always did. I sat in the same chair next to his bed as I always did. I took his same old cold hand into mine as I always did. Hey Jake it would be nice if you woke up today it's been three months since I last saw those pretty eyes of yours. I close my eye trying not to cry for the hundredths time when I felt a squeeze from his hand and I looked up and his hand squeezed me more. I smiled to myself. Wake up Jake please. I saw his eye move but they did not open. I had to tell his mom. I got up and opened the door. Mrs. Smith Jake just squeezed my hand. "Oh my god my baby is waking up" Mrs. Smith said dancing around. We both went back into the room. We sat there watching Jake when he opened his eyes and looked at us. In a very raspy voice he said h-hi. "Jake it's mom do you remember" Mrs. Smith asked. "Y-y-yes" Jake said trying to use his nonexistent voice. I took his hand in mine. I hope you remember me Josh your boyfriend. "Y-y-yes me s-sorry" Jake said as a tear rolled down his face. Hey hey it's ok I said wiping his tears. Jake's mom went to get the nurse. Jake could only move his hand and speak in a raspy voice but he was awake after three months.
