AN // I think most of this story will be from Murdoc's pov tbh, at least in the beginning

Murdoc sat down on the grass next to Stuart, who was leaning his back against a large tree. The little park outside the school wasn't too crowded, except for a few students here and there who were in between classes, or more likely; skipping.

Stuart grabbed a spliff from a metal cigarette case, placing it between his lips, lighting it. "So," he said, taking a long drag before handing it to Murdoc, "I'm guessing you have a few questions." he continued.

"A few?" Murdoc muttered, kind of annoyed, inhaling the mix of hash and tobacco. Damn, where did he get this? Most of the hash around here was proper shit. The irritation melted away as he took another deep drag, handing it back to Stuart.

"Where have you been?" He questioned, glancing at the blue-haired boy. "Here and there, foster care and stuff." he shrugged. Murdoc tried studying his body language, he was kind of hard to read now. But he figured some shit with his family went down and decided not to question his disappearance more. Not right now, anyway.

"So, what about the bloody beaten guys I saw last night?" Murdoc raised an eyebrow, causing Stuart to chuckle. "Nosy bastard." he muttered under his breath, "Let's just say they owed me some money and refused to pay up." he shrugged. Murdoc watched him closely. "When we were kids I always had to protect you, you're still as skinny." he said, Stuart scoffed and playfully kicked his side. Murdoc let out a laugh, this was more like it. Murdoc teasing Stuart, and Stuart trying to snap back. The difference now was that Murdoc suspected that Stuart might be able to fight back.

"Where did you learn to fight like that?" Murdoc questioned and in response, Stuart shrugged yet again. Why is he trying to be so mysterious?

Honestly, he wanted to know everything he didn't already know about 'his Stu'. Which now seemed like was quite a lot.

Murdoc nodded, "And are those contacts?" he pointed to his eyes, lying down on the grass as the THC reached its full effect. Stuart chuckled, "They're real." he said, wiggling his brows. Murdoc shot him a 'you're full of shit'-look. "Seriously, they're filled with blood. It's a real condition," he explained. "Same with the hair," he added, pointing to the mess that was his deep azure hair.

Staring for a few seconds, Murdoc tried to figure out if he was joking. "For real?" he asked in disbelief. "Yeah, my hair fell out after I fell out of a tree. Doctors can't explain it, but it grew back blue." he explained. Murdoc just stared at him, completely fascinated. "And I had a few accidents that caused my eyes to fill up with blood, that's why they look black."

Murdoc sat up, grabbing the spliff out of Stuart's hands and placing it between his lips. Both his hands grabbing his head, he began playing with his hair. Staring at it as if he would get more answers from looking at it. Surprisingly, it was super soft. Murdoc didn't want to let go.

"Is' awsom," Murdoc said, muffled with the spliff between his lips, inhaling whatever was left. Stuart chuckled as Murdoc kept running his fingers through his hair, deeply examining the colour. "You don't think the eyes are a bit freaky?" Stuart questioned, grabbing the extinguished spliff from Murdoc's lips, throwing it on the ground. "No, they're freaking amazing." Murdoc ensured him, staring deeply into his eyes. "Way cooler than my red one."

Maybe it was because he was stoned, but he didn't want to remove his gaze from Stuart's big eyes for a single second. His fingers were still entangled in Stuart's hair. Neither of them moved before the sound of a text interrupted their little moment. Stuart pulled out his phone, reading the text with a sigh.

"I've gotta go," He groaned, getting up from the ground. "I haven't seen you in seven years, and now you're just gonna abandon me here?" Murdoc said jokingly, when in reality he really didn't want him to go. Stuart rolled his eyes with a grin, "Tomorrow, there's a party." He said typing something on his phone.

Murdoc heard the chime from his phone, seeing that Stuart had texted him an address. "How did you get my number?!" he said, baffled. Stuart chuckled, "I have my ways." he shrugged. Murdoc just shook his head as Stuart began walking.

"Absolute lunatic," Murdoc whispered to himself, a big smile plastered on his face. "Hey Mudz," he heard Stuart say from a slight distance. "I really missed you." he said with a soft smile. Murdoc felt something close to warmth in his chest. "I missed you too, faceache.
