part (3/3): the confession

The last chapter, enjoy !

I wake up by a faint streak of daylight falling on my face.  Right away, I'm awake.  Where am I?  This isn't the party.  I'm in a small room with a desk and a bed on which I'm lying. Newt comes up a flight of stairs and appears in the doorway.  "I'm bloody glad you're awake, (y/n)" he says.  " Newt, where am I?  Where are the others?" He's walking towards me. "Calm down we're in Marcus' house."  "Have you found him?" I ask gladly. "Yes, Jorge and the others are interrogating him downstairs. We're also waiting for Tommy to wake up."  Someone's coming up the stairs.  It's Brenda.  Sudden rage hits me like a brick. " (y/n) thank god you're okay."  She comes at me excited and wants to give me a hug.  I push her away from me and sarcastically say, "oh, shouldn't you be with your boyfriend?  I'm surprised you're not pregnant yet."  Brenda looks shocked at me, just like Newt.  "You shouldn't look so surprised." "I did see you at the party kissing Thomas after we split up."  My eyes are starting to tear back." I'll leave you two alone for a while," says Newt, and the British boy quickly leaves the room. 
As a small child I start to sob too much.  Brenda breaks the silence. " Listen, I know what you're talking about, (y/n).  I wasn't myself because of that drink".  "Why?" I'm confused.  "There was some kind of drugs in it, I think.  Didn't you feel anything?"  "No, I spit it out," I answer.  Brenda grins very briefly.  "Smart as always".  She wraps her arm around me and I feel myself calming down.  "I'm sorry," she says, "I didn't know you had feelings for Thomas."  I raise my head quickly.  "Feelings for Thomas?"  The words roll out of my mouth."  I'm not in love with him, I'm in love with you, Brenda."  Frightened, I put my hand in my mouth.  I expect Brenda to laugh, but she doesn't.  My hand is grabbed by her and she kisses him softly.  I feel a shiver and I blush.  "I love you, too, (y/n)" and she cups my cheeks.  Our lips touch gently.  A floating sensation fills me completely.  I can't believe the girl I love so much kisses me.
