"The 2nd side" 🍂 . . . . . . . . . Tears started rolling down my cheeks , I was in shock . I got up and stepped near the thing that I just collided with and lifted it up . It was the same black bag that someone drops every year on 1st may on my doorstep . I holded the bag tight and kept crying untill Drew walked up to me and snatched it from me . "Do you send me money every year ?" I asked sobbing . "No!" He said almost shouting on the top of his voice and turned to leave , "Why?" I asked . He turned and replied "Your dad helped my father to settle down and I don't want any favour from that murderer!" He said . "Do you think he killed Mr.Roberts?" I asked wiping my tears. "Everyone knows ! You should also accept it ." He said and left the room banging the door hard .
I sat on the bed and looked back into past and to be honest I don't think my dad can kill anyone and especially Mr.Roberts they were bestfriends,why would he kill him?. My phone buzzed it was from dad . I denied the call and got out from the hotel , I took a cab and went to the station . I got inside and I was know as the daughter of the so called respected officer so it wasn't that hard for me to get a copy of my adoption papers . I sat on the bench and read then carefully, I didn't found any suspicious so I was happy but when I went back to return them the appointed officer wasn't on the table so I stepped inside the store room . I kept the papers back but I found a red file named "FOSTER CHILDREN " I took and started reading it my heart nearly skipped a beat when I found that there was a extra document attached with my page . It was a contract between Sky and Government all this time I thought that they fostered me from thier own will but the contract said that government ordered sky to adopt me officially and in return he got promotion and is paid every month to take care of me . It said that the contract would break if I die . I heard some footsteps and quickly placed the file back and hid behind a shelf , luckily the officer didn't sensed my presence but the destiny loves me so much that the officer locked the door .
I looked around and there was a broken window but it had sharp edges so I removed the curtains and tore them placing them on my fist and punched the glass with all force , I took out the glass and jumped out of the window. I untied the cloth and threw it in the nearby dustbin. Meanwhile I got 10 missed calls from mom and a 15 from dad , but your know what i don't even want to call him dad . SKY kept that contract a secret though I don't think he faked it all , I walked home that noon observing that busy people on the street.

Everyone was so into thier world , running in the race of life . I soon reached home , Sky and mom were waiting for me on the porch . They shouted and kept speaking for a 2 hours all about how concerned they are about my safety and they were worried and all. After they were finished I said sorry and went upstairs . I took a shower and got dressed into my pajamas , I opened my phone and started scrolling messages . I had a 30 messages from Sky and 24 from mom . I found a 3 from Emma on how did I spent my dad and to my surprise I got a message from a unknown number saying "I'M SORRY FOR TODAY" I gulped and replied "who's this?" . I waited for a long time but I didn't recieved any new message so I went downstairs and had my dinner silently. Lily went to her friend's house for sleepover so I didn't had anyone to play with . Sky and mom asked me Ton's of questions about were did I go in the morning and whether i met Drew today I just ignored all those questions and went upstairs. I dived into my bed and rolled the sheets up but soon a notification buzzed so I took my phone , it was from the unknown number again .
Unknown: it's Drew Roberts here. Me: How did you get my number? Unknown: from sources. Me: what do you want ? Unknown: I am sorry about today . Me: You still think that my dad killed Mr.Roberts , you sended me money secretly all these years just to return the favour, you want to kill me . What are you sorry about then ??! . Unknown: I don't know but I know one thing for sure that the people you are living with aren't safe . Me: I went to the station after leaving the hotel...... Unknown: so you believe me now?. Me: i know they lied to me but that doesn't justify that they faked it all . Unknown: Evelyn I can't believe you trust them !. Me: I do ...... Unknown: The time will show you the 2nd side. Me: What 2nd side ? What are you talking about?. Unknown: you will know soon .... I got a meeting tomorrow morning , bye :) Me:GET LOST . (HE LEFT ME ON SEEN)
I threw the phone on the table and pulled the sheets over again , is he right ? I shaked my head and threw all the negativity out. I picked up my phone again and saved his number as "Gl" that is actually GET LOST but it was all my brain could bring up at midnight and it was for safety because if my foster parents knew that I am talking to him maybe I will get into some huge trouble. I slept peacefully because I was really exhausted.
I felt light all over my eyes .

I opened my eyes and the sun had only rised up . I don't know why it feels like I only slept for a hour I think the sun rised early today . I got ready and took my backpack , mom dropped me to college but I really didn't felt like going , my face looked pale and I had huge dark circles in short I looked like a zombie. I hugged mom and walked inside the college and found Emma in the corridor.
Emma asked "what happened?" Slightly laughing. "I HATE DESTINY!!" I said yawning . We had 15 mins for our first class so we had time to do a little chitchat. Emma took out her phone and played a video and gaved me .
I saw it and I was in shock and didn't knew what to say or how to react . I looked besides me and Emma was already gone. I mentally rolled my eyes at her and inserted her phone in my backpack and made sure that it was on silent. The bell ranged and I hurried upto my first class . While walking I kept thinking about what this Indian man said in that video . I attended all the classes and it was hectic but thinking about the video all day made my dad smooth automatically. It was break time and I hurried to the cafeteria to return Emma's phone . I got seated on a table waiting for Emma and suddenly I felt a arm around my shoulder . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
