I was standing on the porch , trying to digest the fact that mr sky has left me alone . "What's your name sweetie?" I turned it was mr sky's wife , "Evelyn Thomas maam" I said. "You can call me Lauren."she said with a huge smile and walked me to the kitchen. Lily was sitting on the kitchen cabinet eating pasta her whole face was covered with red sauce, I let out a small chuckle. "Sweetie will you have some pasta?"Lauren asked filling the plate with pasta. "No" I said and she still placed the plate in front of me. "Come here lily let me whipe out that mess" Lauren said taking lily to the sink. I digged into the luscious pasta, it was the best pasta of my life. I don't eat food i mean i do but basically i only eat granola bars and milk but this pasta was so good that i had it all.

"You need more ?" Lauren said bringing lily to the table. " no but it was the best pasta I had in my whole life, are you Italian ?" I said. A satisfying smile creeped to her face and she nodded in agreement. "Sky told me about you , don't worry everything will be fine." She said picking up the plates and placing them in the sink. Lily dragged me to the living room and switched on the TV, as the little girl was dancing in front of the TV switching channels I went and sat on the couch.

"Evelyn Thomas prime suspect in Nina's murder case?" "Where's Evelyn Thomas?" "Nina had connections with underworld mafia ?" "Nina died." I didn't cared about all the fake news and their pointless headlines but the last one was true. Miss nina was no more in this world . My heart became heavy and tears started running down my cheeks. Lauren came and hugged me, lily switched off the TV and came and said "group hug !" We all hugged each other at soon I backed off.

"Can i ask you something?" Lauren said. I nodded in agreement. " sky told me everything but he didn't mentioned anything about your family " she said a little unsure . "Destiny loves me so she blessed me with such a past that I can't talk about sorry ." I said wiping my tears. "I never had a option of happiness in my life." I said getting up but this time someone holded my hand I felt small soft fingers trying to make a grip on my hand I turned and lily hugged me and I hugged her back . "Happiness is a choice not a option." Lauren said and patted my head.

Lily dragged me upstairs and opened the doors of a room letting me in . It was beautiful, blue walls with white curtains, it had a bookshelf filled with books , a guitar, actually everything it was perfect. "You will stay here with me !" She said running to the speakers and turned it on she played "thousand years " . That song really has got a vibe every time I listen it, it's just more fascinating. We made drawings and paintings that noon had lunch and watched barbie movies the whole evening, I never watched any barbie movies I know it odd but I was so into my family drama those days and then after that incident i stopped everything but today i feel happy.

I watched the sunset from lily's window it was mesmerizing. Lily slept while watching the movie so I didn't wake her up. "Sweetheart come down sky has arrived." I head Lauren. I rushed down like a storm and hugged mr sky, I know it's wierd but he is the only one I trust in such times. He pulled back looked straight into my eyes and said " Nina's brother was killed in a cell by another accused who was in his cell , the laptop we brought from the library has no data in it we tried to retrieve the deleted data and the laptop stopped functioning my friend said that it was planned to do so." He let out all in one breath . " now what ? " I asked with watery eyes. "You will stay here with Lauren and lily and I will go and found a new direction for the case . " he said . "Do you think I am a fool ?", you have even lost the last hope there is no direction to go there's only one option left ." I said . " and what's that ? " he asked a little worried.

" the only clue we have is that photo, we have to find the person in the photo we have to go to underworld!" I said confidently.  " are you insane it's dangerous!!" Mr sky exclaimed. " I don't have a option if I don't find the real murderer media and the town will make me the murderer because I am the only one alive!" I said and ran upstairs and slammed the door. I dived into the bed beside lily and slept.
