"Excuse me?"
Lisa winced, keeping her back turned away from fiery eyes that caused a shiver to slither down her own spine. Angry Jennie wasn't so arousing anymore. A puff of air slipped thorugh Lisa's lips as she pinched the bridge of her nose,
"It's whatever. I'm tired. Let's talk about this tomorrow." She tried reasoning but Jennie seemed to be just starting.
"Well, clearly there's something on your mind." Jennie's voice was sounding quite menacing and so sarcastic that it was beginning to get Lisa angry. "Because it seems to me that you're quite upset."
Lisa couldn't help but scoff and face the fuming brunette from how ridiculous Jennie was being. In any case, ridiculous Jennie was cute but not tonight. No, not when Lisa was beyond frustrated.
"Maybe its the fact that you're acting like you're not mad when you clearly are. And don't get me started on the fact that you're trying to turn this all around as an excuse to stay mad at me for no freaking reason," Lisa was losing her patience. her body was slowly trembling and she needed to just get out of there.
"Why do you keep saying I'm mad!? I'm not!" She shouted. Lisa laughed dryly, rolling her eyes and brushing her fingers through her messy, loose curls in frustration,
"Could've fooled me," she spoke lowly, sarcastically and Jennie's eyes burned more in anger. Lisa sighed, "Can we please not do this now? We're both tired and clearly need sleep." She was tired, not only from her shoot but also from Jennie's mood swings.
Which seemed to get worse with each passing second. But, thankfully Jennie remained silent, a muted fire in her eyes as she looked away from Lisa. Or so she thought, oh how she wished Jennie did remain silent.
"So you're just going to brush me off like earlier again?"
Lisa let out an exasperated sigh, "What the hell are you even talking about?" she whined, seating herself back onto the edge of the bed and staring at Jennie, eyes desperate, tired and so confused. Jennie met her eyes and Lisa could've sworn she saw a flicker of hurt, and based on the frown painted on trembling lips, she knew her eyes weren't fooling her.
"You barely spoke to me this whole day! And it was all because you were glued to your 'best friend' Bam! Tell me Lisa, are you guys really just friends?!" Jennie's voice volume increased with each word and Lisa had never felt so conflicted in her life. Should she hug the girl or hide from her?
Lisa slowly stood up again. She was cautious, brows furrowed and body tensed, "Okay, first of all Bambam is my best friend, nothing more and nothing less. And second of all, I was working with him so obviously I had to be with him the whole entire time but it didn't mean I was brushing you off! You know I would never do that to you."
Jennie's glare sharpened, the blood in Lisa's veins chilled. She was angry. "Bullshit."
Now Lisa was angry. Her fist clenched, and so did her jaw as she took another step towards Jennie.
"If anything, it was you that consistently gave me the cold shoulder. I did try so many times to talk to you today Jennie but you were the one that basically brushed me off as if I was insignificant to you. And don't you dare deny that." She pointed her finger at Jennie as she stalked closer till they were face to face.
Anger suffocating the whole entire room. Jennie swatted her finger out of her face and opened her mouth to speak but Lisa didn't give her the chance to.
She was burning in rage and confusion that her mind was clouded, she didn't know what she was doing anymore but she couldn't stop. And, in a way she didn't want to stop.
