Yellow and Black. That was basically what the whole color of the school consist of. Even my uniform is yellow and black with a bit of white.
There was a huge bee painted on a water tank on my far left with the colour of yellow and black. The emphasis on yellow and black at this school was seriously astonishing.
Ok then, I see they put on a certain impression.
I think I already hate it here.
" Anna-kay," I turned to see who called my name. " I didn't see you yesterday."
It was a friend from Kindergarten/ Primary school.
"Brittney, wats up girl, yeah I left my shoes so I couldn't come." She gave me a weird look but didn't say anything, I mean who forgets their school shoes anyways- me, in my defense.
Brittney was an old classmate, I guess she still is a classmate.
"What did they do yesterday?" I asked following her to where I assume our classes are."Nothing much, mostly introductions" She replied, of course, typical first days.
"Alright" I said mostly to myself because at that moment we were slowly walking in our class that was almost at the bottom of the whole school with the grade rooms and other buildings separated a few feet apart. The structure of the whole school was from 7th grade to 11th grade moving upwards with each grade at a different building, the blocks weren't combined.
Here I am, in my form class sitting in the corner at my right hand side, almost everyone laughing and chatting with each other.
I felt out of place.
Few minutes later a fat man, not really fat, he kinda has a big stomach. My guess he's our form teacher. He walked in with a register book in his right hand to the Teacher's desk at the front of the class.
"Morning people," He said turning to us as he put the register on his desk. " As most of you already know I am Mr. Chambers, your Form class teacher, I'll be checking the register to see who is here right now."
He opened the register, " Girls - Tiana Allen." He called as he raised his head from looking at the book to call out the girls' name.
"Present" I turned to look who answered, it was a short slim girl.
That's was how it went on, the form teacher calling their names while I was trying to grasp as much faces I could.
"Anna-kay Wilson," My head turned to him as I raised my hand and said,
"Present." It didn't help that I was the last girl on the list.
"Voice is soft," I heard a boy say, I looked at him, short and a bit round, just a bit. I didn't answer.
" Your the girl that left her shoes" Really, my mom told the teacher that, you have got to be kidding me.
" Yeah." I answered - nothing more nothing less - as some of my classmates stared at me. Of course, the girl with the soft voice.
After marking the register, we had devotion kept by Mr Chambers himself. He said Tomorrow would be the last day he will be keeping devotion. Mondays and Fridays are for the whole school to go to the auditorium for devotion, Thursdays are for house meetings for sports day and Tuesdays and Wednesdays are for class devotions which we, the students will conduct.
The teachers came to our class for their one hour sessions, mostly we did introductions, something about expectations, I personally don't know why they ask us this question, all I want is to get my subjects and get out.
