This is how Ponyboy would describe Millie in The Outsiders, it doesn't contribute to the plot of this story. The picture above is her.
Ponyboy's P.O.V
My second oldest sibling is Millie, and she's the only girl in our family and gang. She's a year older than Sodapop, my parents adopted her when she was one year old, right before they found out they were having Soda. She's got black hair that she keeps in layers, because she likes to put it up in buns and keep the rest down. Her eyes are real interesting, because one is red and one is light blue. She's like the mother to our gang, and no one ever tries to flirt with her or nothing because it would be weird. She's acts nothing like a hood, she's just about the sweetest person you'll ever meet, but she's done a few things that have gotten her in trouble. Everybody has at least once, but she's the only one who feels bad when she does it. She holds the gang together in the same way that Johnny does, they're pretty much two halves of a whole center-piece, and they're best friends. I went almost my whole life thinking something was off about Millie, because she never talked about boys the way that Sodapop talks about girls. But that's because I found out Millie doesn't like boys, and she never did. She told us just a little while ago that she never wants to date a boy because she likes girls. I thought it was real funny, even the girl in our gang wants to pick up other girls. But even though it's dangerous for her, she still managed to find a girlfriend. She's in the wrong place, and the wrong time, but she has the right heart, so she made it work.
