ej put his phone down and looked straight at ricky, "ricky stop staring at nini, you look stupid."

nini blushed as she took a drink from her water bottle to hide her now turning pink cheeks. the group watched ricky's eyes widened as gina and carlos both stifled a laugh.

"i wasn't staring, geez." ricky responded. carlos raised his eyebrow.

"so what were you doing then?"

"i was reading the poster behind her." ricky replied as everyone turned to find that poster, except nini who just awkwardly pretended to be looking for something in her bag.

"a poster for the spring musical? please, you don't even like musicals." big red then said as ej and carlos nodded their heads.

"guys, give it a rest. maybe he was interested in trying out?" nini suggested.

gina laughed, "nini, from all of the time i've spent with ricky because of this doofus," she said as she placed her hand on ej's shoulder, "ricky does not like musicals at all."

"hey! i'm not a doofus!" ej complained as gina rolled her eyes playfully.

"i'm a changed person guys." ricky then spoke. "i- i am going to try out."

carlos smirked, "really?" ricky nodded his head. "well i'll see you at auditions then."

"ooh! who are you trying out for, carlos?" ashlyn then asked.

"no one. i'm the student choreographer." carlos answered as she made an oh face.

"nini, you're auditioning, aren't you?" kourtney asked as nini nodded.

carlos clapped his hands as he smiled. "great! i'm glad to hear!"
