Ch7. Beauty Sleep

Sleep, how I love to sleep. Sleep comes best when you haven't slept for days and when the comfy bedsheets and mattress call your name out in a lullaby. Yup, I was sleeping like a baby after having spent the night in Dabi's arms.

We stayed out to watch the sunrise underneath a tree. It was the most beautiful sunrise I had ever seen. Probably because Dabi was with me. I remember his sweet kisses and him telling me he loves me.

Sadly we had to part ways as the sun rose completely. He caressed my cheek and peck my lips as he said we would soon see each other again. I nodded with high spirits.

I crashed on my bed tiredly. Thankfully no one seemed to notice I didn't come into my room to sleep last night. I doubt my dad would've like to hear that... 

I rapidly fell into a deep slumber. It wasn't until hours later when I started to hear multiple beeping sounds. I groaned, shaking myself awake, rubbing my eyes too, I grabbed my phone and saw the notifications from my dad.

I swear I felt my soul shake with fear. Uh-oh...

I got a call from him and Hitoshi as well. Ah, wait... even Tenya and Tokoyami called too. I sighed and called my dad.

"Where are you? Class is about to start in ten minutes, you're usually here before that." My dad's grumpy voice greeted me.

"Hey dad, right about that..."

"Don't tell me you were binge watching another anime? Or reading fanfics?" he sighed. 

"Huh..." he caught me by surprise. "I thought you'd be mad." Hey... why does he always think it's about anime and fanfics???

"Eh, not really. I mean of course I'm not happy but, you alright kiddo? You've been acting weird lately. I just wanted to make sure you'd be okay." his concerned tone had my indignance melt away and feel content.

Aw dad... I smiled. "I'm okay dad, promise. I just couldn't sleep last night. I ended up falling asleep around sunrise."

I heard my dad sigh, "Get some rest then. I'll excuse you for your morning classes just make sure to come in by the end of the day I have something to tell the class and I need you here for that."

"Okay dad. Thanks."

"Yeah, yeah, just don't get used to it." he grumbled out.

"I love you lots dad." 

"I love you too Kiddo." he answered back and then hung up.

Placing my phone down, I couldn't help but smile. My dad really cares a lot about me. That makes me happy. Now, with the addition of Dabi also loving me, I don't feel so alone anymore. I feel calm...

So calm that I ended up sleeping again. But only to be woken up three hours later by a bunch of notifications being wildly made. It was from the class group chat. I sighed knowing what I was to face...
