Tuesday morning, Ainsley stayed in bed. That's what they did best most of their summer. Usually, they'd be writing something, but all of their progress was thrown away within a second, so they've lost all of their hope in actually finishing that story.
They would think they'd be more upset about losing all of that progress, but they weren't after a long beauty sleep. There was no way they'd be able to get the book back, so it wasn't worth any of their tears, not even one.
They didn't get up until about eleven am, when they received a text from an anonymous number.

Ainsley laughed at the silly message and threw their phone somewhere on the bed.
"Yeah, whatever." They ran over to the mirror to fix themselves up. They were currently home alone for a few weeks because their mother was a traveler who loved to explore the world with their father. Both of their parents were in Paris at the moment.
Right now, Ainsley knew they had to get themselves together because Tori was stopping by today for breakfast around the corner at Patricia's Pancakes. Already, they heard a knock on the door downstairs. They quickly put on their slippers and hurried downstairs to open the door.
There she was, all ready to go, dressed in ripped jeans and blank white shirt.
"Dude, why aren't you dressed? We planned for eleven o'clock Tuesday!!" Ainsley walked over to the coat hanger and threw on their hoodie. Tori folded her arms. "You do realize it's eighty one degrees out...right? And you're gonna wear sweats and a hoodie?"
"You're not my mom...plus it's supposed to rain around twelve."
Tori gave them a cold look. They groaned, and headed back upstairs to change into an outfit that was more suitable for the weather.

"Alright, I don't know how I can make up for your book, but if there's anything I can do, I'll do it, if possible. And I'm really sorry they di-"
"It was trashy anyways." Ainsley told their blonde hair friend, slicing their pancakes in half.
"But you still worked hard on it..."
"So what? It's gone and nothing's gonna change that." Ainsley wiped their sticky fingers with a napkin and then pulled out their phone. "Speaking of the idiots who threw out my book, I got a message this morning."
"Really? From who?" Tori asked, all ears.
"It says it was sent from anonymous, but I honestly feel like this is all Ari's doing. It's not even the end of October yet and she's already trying to scare me." Tori raised a brow.
"But I don't recall Ari or any of the others having your number." Ainsley got up and walked over to Tori's side.
"True, but you never know. Look." Ainsley showed their screen and Tori read. "It has to be one of them. No one else knew where we were besides the six of us only." Tori looked at me seriously.
