Ok so I  had a little hiatus, had to deal with some things. But when I logged back on to wattpad I was surprised to see all of those messages in my inbox, I couldn't leave this story like this. Sorry...

Mordecai's bared knuckles crashed against Don's front door. He's been doing this for the past ten minutes and has gotten no response but Mordecai swore he was there. He even saw his car parked in the driveway.

He wanted an explanation to why Rigby's things were gone. Of course he knew he deserved no such thing but he could try, couldn't he?

With a sigh he slumped himself down on the steps, his elbows digging in his knees as his chin rested in the palm of his hand. He felt like utter and complete shit. His night was sleepless and sempiternal so that would explain his dire appearance.

A creak sounded from behind him and he turned to see Don looking out. Mordecai stood to his feet immediately and looked him in the eye. "I want to see Rigby" He demanded.

Don's mouth dropped open and then closed and then finally opened again. "You want what?"

      "I want to see Rigby"

"You can't, Rigby's... You can't. Just go away"  Do said coldly.

Mordecai's jaw visibly clenched and his knuckles balled by his side. "I want to see Rigby!" He said through gritted teeth.

"Look man, I don't care what you want, but your not seeing my brother." And with that Don shut the door flat in his face. If this was a cartoon you would surely see the hot steam coming from Mordecai's ears.

With determination he carried himself to the backyard. Scanning his surroundings he climbed a tree that lead to the second floor. With a huff he managed to open a window and lunge himself inside. The room he entered was empty besides a can of paint in the far right corner.

    Redecorating, Mordecai thought.

He slipped through the hallway trying his hardest not to make any noise. He already knew the ins and the outs of Dons house seeming that he was there for a Christmas party in the past. He checked all the guest rooms but there was no sign of Rigby, he even managed to slip past Don a phew times on the lower level.

He was starting to panic when anxiety set in, he had nowhere else to look. What happens if he doesn't find him? What will he do? He clutched at his chest feeling his heart beat faster by the second. He breathed in and out slowly trying to calm himself, until he looked up.

There he was. Rigby stood frozen, almost as if he was paralyzed with shock. Mordecai's knitted sweater hung off his frail body perfectly but he couldn't help but noticing how empty Rigby's eyes looked.

"Rigby...." Mordecai said softly afraid he might make him run off again. Each step was slow and cautious as he etched closer to his lover. For a moment he thought about taking him in his arms and never letting go, that maybe, just maybe, they could forget about everything and start new. But that was soon crushed as Rigby had a sudden surge of hate.

"You!" He spat jamming his finger in Mordecai's chest. "You did  this to me" He went as far as pushing him outside the house, Mordecai stumbling backwards trying to maintain his balance.

"I'm sorry, I -" Mordecai managed trying to explain himself.

"Did you even stop to think about me?" Rigby asked, tears now falling from his bloodshot eyes. With one forceful push, he pushed Mordecai out into the main road. "Did you even love me?" Rigby sobbed starring at what he thought was the man of his dreams.

Mordecai looked up at him, hurt that he would say such a thing.

"Rigby, I've always loved you..." A sad smile played on his lips.

      And then it was gone.

There was a loud screech of a loaded truck trying to come to a halt. It all happened so fast, but Rigby was sure he could have saved him, pushed him out of the way and take his place maybe.

Rigby closed his eyes so he wouldn't see, he closed his eyes so he wouldn't have to see him slip away. It was all too much.

   Silence.

Rigby opened his eyes and cried out "Mordecai!" No answer.

"Jesus Christ" He heard someone say.

He slid down the dirt path, to see everyone sitting still in their cars, shocked. He ran in front of truck and froze. There Mordecai laid, still alive, coughing  up blood that slid down his chin and neck.

"Mordecai?" Rigby whispered crouching down by his lover. Mordecai's leg was bent awkwardly and he was sure that both of his arms were broken. He looked up at him, his eyes wide with horror. He tried to speak but he couldn't, it looked all to painful. Instead he took Rigby's hand in his with little effort he had left.

"Mordecai, please..." Rigby sobbed as he clutched at his hand.

"I...I'm..s-sorry..." Mordecai croaked giving one last breath. His eyes slowly drooped shut, and the soft grip on Rigby's hand loosened.

    "Mordecai!"Rigby screamed. "Don't leave me"

    And then he was gone.
