5 years later
"Bia, papasok ka na ba? Kailangan ko ng sundo, bes." Sabi ko kay Bianca on the phone. Nasa labas ako ng apartment ko ngayon.
"Sabi ko na e. I'm on my way, boo." She playfully said and laughed before hanging up. She's the best ever.
Bia, Jasmine and I now go to ADMU. Tristan does too. He's in his 5th year of Engineering. Bia's course is Political Science, while mine is Fine Arts. 3rd year kaming dalawa while Jasmine is a 4th year is Design.
"Alam mo, you really need a driver's license." She said the minute I got into the car. I just rolled my eyes and scoffed, "I know, it's just my mom doesn't want me to be driving until she can trust me with a car again." The last time I drove was when I was 16. I was with my mom and I nearly ran over an old lady.
"Mommy mo nanaman? Seriously, Ari you need to take charge of your life. You're freaking 20!" Ani n'ya. I just nodded and looked out the window.
"By the way, ano na balita sainyo ni Samuel?" Iniba ko 'ung topic. Nakita ko ang pag-pula ng mga pisngi niya kaya napa-ngisi ako. "May nangyari ba na hinde ko alam?"
"What?! No, of course not." Umiling s'ya agad. May hinde 'to sinasabi e. Oh well, she can tell me on her own time.
Dumating kami ng ADMU at bumaba kami ng kotse after Bia parked it. Nakasalubong namin si Francine, taga Archi.
"Hi guys." Bati niya samin ni Bia. We're good friends with her. "Hi Francine." Bati namin.
"First class nyo? Sakin English." Tanong niya.
"Same. Ikaw Bia?"
"Science, in 10 minutes." Sabi, habang tinignan yung relo niya. "Sige, una na'ko at baka malate pa. Bye!" Paalam niya saamin sabay alis.
"Halika na Aria." Aya sa'akin ni Francine. Tumango ako at tuluyan kami'ng pumunta ng classroom.
Pumasok kami sa classroom at na-upo sa gitnang row.
"Good Morning, class!" Bati ng Prof. namin. The class responded with murmurs of 'morning' and 'Hi Prof.'
"Today, may new student t'yo. And alam ko ang sasabihin ninyo, yes, late enrollee s'ya." Sabi ni Professor Sanchez. "Come in Mr. Rodriguez."
Then may pumasok na guy. But I only saw his backside.
He looks so familiar... but from where?
"Thank you, Sir." He nodded. Prof. nodded at him and gestured him to sit at the front.
"Pogi, no?" Rinig kong bulong sakin ni Francine. "If only I was into guys."
I looked at him again and well, I don't disagree. He's hot. Kahit na likod lang n'ya ung kita ko.
"I guess." I shrugged and continued to focus on the lesson.
But Derek was hotter.
I never found him after they left. Turns out umuwi na s'ya ng probinsya, so I just gave up. Besides, that was 5 years ago! Ano, obsessed?
The lesson went on smoothly and without trouble. Though we never knew the name of the new guy. Nakita ko lang na may mga kumakaibigan sakanya na guys from our batch.
Nagkita kami ni Bia after class, sa labas ng classroom ni Tristan so maka-sabay s'ya samin for lunch. Francine already left to go to her girlfriend.
"Hoy, kanina ka pa cellphone ng cellphone d'yan, Bianca." Sabi ko habang nag-aantay kay Tris.
Tumingin s'ya sakin and rolled her eyes then smiled. "I was just texting Sam," Tumango ako, "Kaya pala ang laki ng ngiti mo."
She scoffed and blushed, "He just told me that his friend was back in Manila." Tuloy n'ya.
"Which friend? The guy has an abundance of them," I chuckled, taking out my pink Klean Kanteen to drink. That guy was such a social butterfly without even knowing it.
"The one he was with in Amanpulo 5 years ago," Sagot n'ya. "The one you 'fell inlove with'?"
I spat out the water I was just drinking.
"What?!"
"Waterfall." Tristan was the victim of my water spit. "Ay shit, sorry Tris!" Kinuka ko agad ung handkerchief for para punasan s'ya.
"Alam mo, kung alam ko lang na dura yung makukuha ko bilang premyo sa paglilibre ko sainyo, hinde na sana ako pumayag." Sabi n'ya habang pinupunasan din ung sarili niya.
Bia was just laughing her ass off.
"I'm so sorry Tris." Sabi ko ulit pagkatapos ko s'yang punasan. "Itong kapatid mo kasi e, parang tanga."
"E kasi naman, sinabi lang na umuwi ng Maynila 'ung lalaki na nakita mo sa Amanpulo aba, parang 'di naka-get over!" Aniya Bianca. I glared at her when I finished wiping Tristan.
"You mean your 'secret lover', Aria?" Pagtukso ni Tristan. Itong magkapatid na ito, magiging kamatayan ko sila jusko!
"Ugh, whatever. Ano, manglilibre ka ba o hinde?" Tinaasan ko ng kilay si Tristan. "Oo na, ito na. That time of the month ba?" Naka-ngisi nyang tanong.
Agad kong hinampas yung hawak kong notebook sa ulo niya. Kinda like what Hermione Granger did to Harry Potter in the 6th movie.
"Aroy!" Agad niyang hinawakan yung ulo niya.
"Halika na nga! Gutom na'ko e!" Sigaw ko sakanila at tuluyan na kami lumabas ng building.
I am not nice when I am hungry.
Dumating kami sa may labas Blake's Wings and Stakes. Hehe, time to make Mr. Moralez's wallet suffer.
"Ha?! 'Bat wings at stake?! Lunch palang ah! Ang usapan is libre ko kayo ng lunch, hinde dinner!" Reklamo niya.
"Oh shut up, Kuya." Bia said rolling her eyes, "Payback lang ito for that time nung nag Shangri-La tayo! I almost had no money in my wallet when we got home!"
"But you did have money." Kontra ni kupal.
"YEAH, 50 PESOS!"
I just laughed at their banter at pumasok sa resto, shortly followed by the dynamic duo.
"Table for 3, po." I said kindly to the waitress, tumango siya and led us to our table.
May mga students din pala here from other schools. I looked around and saw students from Miriam College.
I turned to my right and almost fainted at who I saw.
"Omg, Ari, diba..." Bia looked just as shocked as I was.
