"Stop laughing would you." Said Tatum as she wiped the tears from her eyes. She was a mess over the ending, as if she hadn't read the book.
"I'm not laughing." I said holding my hands up innocently. Yes I was. She was hysterical and it was quite entertaining.
"Whatever, I'll be back." And with that she headed to the bathroom, most likely to freshen up.
"I'll come with, be right back" Said Mads as she gave Tate a slight peck on the cheek. I turned away.
"So. I was right. Frolicking with the boss man weren't you." Said Tate as he turned to me, studying my face.
"Once again, I don't see how any of that is your business." I said with a stiff voice, crossing my arms and looking him in the eye.
"Don't be so dismissive Amelia, nothing wrong with gold digging." He said, smirking at me. My blood boiled. The audacity of this asshole.
"Don't be so confident Tate. I'm sure Dante has a spare black eye to lend you the next time you see him." I said and watched his face fall and slowly turn to anger.
"You don't know shit Amelia." He put out.
"I know enough to know you're an asshole, and most definitely deserved that black eye." I kept my voice level and watched as he stepped forward. I stepped back holding my hand out to his chest.
"Don't fucking come near me." I bit out.
"Listen here you little whore. You don't know shit. And your fuck buddy Dante needs to grow a pair. His sister was hot, he needs to get over it." I couldn't breathe, my eyes narrowed and my blood boiled.
"You watch your fucking mouth." I seethed at him. Stepping forward I jabbed my finger to his chest. "You are no man Tate. You are insecure about whatever it is that runs your life, and you take it out on others. You think you have everything figured out so you get on others nerves just for the attention. You are nothing Tate. Don't you come up here threatening me over your own insecurities." I said all in one breath. My heart was racing and my head was spinning.
Before he could reply, I rushed to the front of the theatre. Needing to get out of here. Needing some air.
Stepping outside I reached for my phone, pulling it out and turning it on. I sent a text to Tatum saying I was outside so she didn't worry.
I had another text from Dante when my phone lit up again. Opening it I read through it quickly.
Unknown: I swear to go if he gives you trouble, tell me. I'm so sick of that prick. Please call me.
Hands shaking and heart still racing from earlier I hit call. He answered within two rings.
"Thank fuck... where are you. Is he still there?" Said Dante in a quick breath. Clearly frustrated.
"Yes, I'm just waiting outside. He's with Mads and Tatum at the bathrooms," I said quietly while stuffing my free hand in my jacket and sitting down on the curb.
"Did he say anything to you? Try anything?" He asked.
Deciding I'd save myself a headache I said "no."
"Good. Are you coming tonight?" He asked, this time sounding curious. "Tatum mentioned she'd ask you when she was on the phone with Rodney earlier."
"Well she hasn't said anything to me yet. I have to go." And I quickly hung up. Standing up I placed my phone in my back pocket. I really need to change his name from Unknown to Dante...
"There you are! I just said bye to Mads and Tate, they parked on the opposite end." Tatum said approaching me.
"Okay." I said looking out to the street.
