After that day, Fern continued her day as usual. A few times she would feel like there's something missing in her life, but she always threw that thought far, far away, where it would be untouchable.

She tried to spend as much time with Nicholas. That way she can try to replace that broken memory with a new, better one.

The both of them are very romantic. They had several dates, and also sleepovers. No more awkward feelings lie in them. They are now a couple that complete each other.

It was a fine Friday night. The weather was still quite humid. Almost rainy season. Fern was chilling on her bed, she had nothing to do. She had dinner, she already showered, she just lied in bed playing with her phone. Until she got a text message from Nicholas.

Nicholas: Hey! :)

Fern smiled. Just the person to cheer her up.

You: Hey!

Nicholas directly texted something else.

Nicholas: Are you free tomorrow and Sunday?

Fern smiled. They're probably going somewhere. Fern quickly texted her reply.

You: Totally, what'd you have in mind?

Nicholas: I was thinking, we could go on a camping trip :D

Fern was shocked. A camping trip? Just the both of them? Awesome! They could spend so much quality time together.

You: That's a great idea, I'm up for it...

Nicholas: Great! I'll pick you up tomorrow morning at 7.00 AM, be sure to be ready, bring lots of food kay! Bye :)

You: Okie Dokie, Bye!

Fern put her phone down and headed to the storage room to pack. She's gone on a couple camping trips before. She has all the supplies.

She listed down all the things needed for the camping trip. Her tent, sleeping bag, flashlight, mini stove, pots, pans, food... Hold on, why am I preparing everything? Nicholas and I should divide what we bring! Fern thought.

She took her phone and dialled Nicholas's number.

" Yes? Nicholas here, "

" Um, shouldn't we both be packing? All the supplies are too much for one person, " Fern argued.

" Oh... Yeah... Alright, let's divide it then, "

" Great, we'll start with the tent, who'll bring the tent? " Fern asked.

They didn't mind sleeping in one tent. It's not the first time. They did it on their kindergarten camping trip, their primary camping trip, their graduation trip, and more.

" I can bring the tent, I have the bigger one, "

" Okay, we each bring sleeping bags, so, what else? " Fern asked.

" Pots and pans, food, emergency light, um, soaps, "

" Okay, I'll bring the pots and pans, we each bring our own emergency light and our own soap, and we divide the food, " Fern said.

" Alright, I have some smoked beef in my place, I'll bring that, I have some beef strips too, I suppose we both can bring little veggies, "

" Okay then, so I bring the pots and pans, along with food in my place, and the other individual stuff, you bring the tent and food, " Fern declared.

They eventually listed more items to bring on the trip before agreeing and ending the call.
