Rain poured from outside the coffee shop. It wasn't a normal kind of rain, it was like the sky just had someone close to them die.

A black pen danced against the white lined paper as new ideas formed from your brain to your hand. You began to clean your thinking area as you took a final sip from your coffee.

"Leaving so soon?" Your bestfriend Sasha asked while polishing cups from earlier customers.

"Yeah, it's getting pretty late, I still need to finish my homework for Monday," you smiled just before throwing away the styrofoam cup.

"Maybe if you tone down the writing a bit, you'll get it done quicker," Sasha joked as she hung her apron on the hook.

"Oh haha very funny," you sarcastically smiled.

"You sure you don't want a coffee to go? It's on the house," Sasha suggested the seventh time that month.

"Thanks but maybe another time," you opened your umbrella and the front door, only to be faced with wild rain.

"If you keep refusing my offer, might as well not ask you at all," she giggled as you smiled and waved goodbye.

The rain roared. The umbrella didn't do much protecting. You ran to a light in the distance. A bus stop with a small roof.

Midway, the umbrella flew out of your grasp.

"Shit," you cursed under your breath, too soft for you to hear. You put your hood up and continued to run towards the bus stop. Once under the small roof, you quickly sat on the bench to take a breather. After a second or two, you realized the bench had been puddled with rain water.

"Could this night get any worse?" You muttered, quickly standing up as you wrapped your jacket around your soaked rear end. You leaned up against the pole and hugged yourself for warmth.

Some splashes were softly heard in the distance as well as some panting. You took a quick glance to where the sound came from. A blonde male came running under the roof as he panted against the other pole. He was just about to sit down before you spoke up.

"I wouldn't sit there if I were you. Kind of learned from recent experience," you spoke without making eye contact. He looked at the bench and shot up.

"Uhh, th-thank you," he looked away from your direction.

"No need to thank me," you turned your head to examine him. He had eyes that were bluer than the ocean itself.

(See what I did there)

His blonde hair was into a coconut haircut and contained multiple drops from the rain. He wore a green raincoat with a wing like design on the back, similar to a painting at the Museum. There was nothing much to describe since the coat basically covered his entire outfit.

He reminded you of somebody, but who? And from where? You decided to forget about it, for now.

You looked away to check if the bus lights were shining in the distance, but it was just darkness.

You scratched your nose and sneezed, sniffling shortly after. You hugged yourself even tighter, as an attempt to warm up. Just short after, you felt a warmth wrap around you. You looked to see the male wrapping his coat around your shivering body.

"Here, your going to catch a cold if your not in the proper attire," he smiled.
"I'm Armin, Armin Arlert," he held out his hand for a firm shake.

"(Y/N), (Y/N) (L/N)," you shook his warm hand. After a while of staring at him, you just had to ask.

"Have we met? Ya know, before?" You sounded like a retard for asking, but after a while he shook his head.

"I don't believe so, I would have remembered a girl like you though," he smiled. You blushed at a smile that could make this rain turn into a clear moonlit sky. The bus came driving from the distance and stopped to where you both stood. The two of you boarded onto an empty bus after paying for your tickets.

"Where did you think you knew me from?" Armin asked as he smirked, raising an eyebrow at the comment you made earlier.

"I don't know, somewhere I believe," you looked out the window and saw the trees from the park drift on by. Lately you've been getting strange hallucinations and dreams that you couldn't quite remember. Perhaps he was in one of them?

"I see you enjoy books," you looked over to see a couple books in his lap.

"Very much, just not soaked ones," he joked as you softly laughed.

"I guess we have something in common. Right now I'm writing a novel," you picked up the water-proof suitcase and opened it. You took out a spiral notebook and flipped through a few pages.

"What's it about?" He asked, like he was interested. Not curious, intrested.

"I'm not sure yet, all I'm doing is writing thoughts down and seeing what sounds good," you explained to Armin.

"Maybe I could read it, if you'd like, when you've got an idea," he suggested.

"Yeah, I would very much like that," you smiled just before pressing the button at your stop. You ripped a piece of paper and wrote some numbers on it. You handed it to Armin.

"If you ever want to talk, call me up," you smiled getting out of your seat.

"Thanks, I will."

Halfway towards the exit, you realized you were still wearing Armin's raincoat.

"Oh here," you remembered just as you were about to take it off.

"Keep it, I have another one just like it."

You smiled to show a thank you and got off the bus. You placed the hood up and ran towards your apartment. After entering, you were greeted by the assistant landlord.

"Quite a down pour tonight, eh?" Petra commented.

"Tell me about it," you laughed taking off the green rain coat.

Petra was friends with you for a long time. She was older but that didn't matter. She had light ginger hair that was short and amber-colored eyes. She taught at the school you were going to, Wall Rose University.

"How are the two jobs?" You asked.

"Too tough, but I have to make due," she smiled as she handed you your key.
"How's that homework coming along?"

"Would it be bad if I said I haven't started it yet?"

Petra laughed.

"Just get it done already."

"Aye sir," you saluted as you ran upstairs. You jiggled the key in the lock and unlocked the door. You slammed the door behind you and jumped on the couch, kicking your shoes off. You layed in silent until a familiar Jiyuu No Tsubasa ringtone rang. You looked at your phone and answered it.

"Moshi Moshi (Y/N) Desu," you answered as a familiar voice rang on the other line.

"Hey (Y/N), it's Armin," The blondie chirped.
