Oakley P.O.V

"Oakley, are you pregnant? Will you take this pregnancy test please?" My mom asked concerned and put a pregnancy test on my comforter next to me.

As soon as she asked that question I began to feel dizzy and lightheaded. I also started to feel nauseous like when I have morning sickness, but a slightly different feeling. I try to stand up and fall to the ground. Everything begins to go dark.

Oakley's Mom P.O.V.

Immediately after I ask her if she is pregnant she fainted and hit her head on her nightstand. If she is pregnant and she fainted it could be something serious. I better call 911 just to be sure that she is okay. I dial 911 and tell the operator the address and why I am calling. Within a few minutes, they arrived. We arrived at the hospital and got a room right away. They took Oakley to get a CT to make sure she doesn't have a brain injury or anything. The CT showed that Oakley has a small brain bleed. The doctor said that we would wait it out to see if it resolved itself.

I open my eyes and see a white bright light. I sit up fast and get a little dizzy. It smells like chemicals in here. This isn't my room, where am I? I blink a couple of times and see white walls around me and I'm laying in a bed. I look around and see my mom and what looks like a doctor. "What happened?," I ask confused.

"Oakley, you fainted and hit your head," the doctor said.

"Oh okay," I replied, still confused.

"Your little fainting spell was likely caused by anxiety, fear, or intense emotional stress." The doctor explained.

"That makes sense I have been stressed a lot lately, fearing telling my parents, and have been having some anxiety," I explained to her.

"Let's go look at your baby and make sure he or she is doing okay after your fall." She got the ultrasound wand and the gel. She told me that it was going to be cold. She moved the wand around looking for the baby and said that the baby seemed healthy, but I need to come in to get another ultrasound when I am at three months pregnant to make sure unless I experience any bleeding. I was relieved that the baby was healthy and told her I would go see my doctor then. I still need to get an obstetrician for the ultrasounds. "You also have a small brain bleed which will likely resolve by itself, but if it doesn't we will need to do surgery which can put you and the baby at risk." She informed me trying not to frighten me. Then the doctor left and my mom came closer to my bed.

"You really gave us a scare, Oaks," mom said worrying still.

"I know, I'm sorry for worrying you mom."

"The rest of the family went to a vending machine to get some drinks. Well, I guess I know the answer to the question I asked you before."

"They didn't have to come to the hospital just for me, mom. Yes, you know the answer to the question. I know that you're disappointed in me, I'm sorry"

"I am very disappointed in you. When were you going to tell us that you were pregnant?"

"I didn't know how to tell you guys. I was going to bake a cake and break the news to you guys in a couple of weeks." I told my mom honestly.

"I don't know how your father is going to react. He is going to be furious."

"I know he is going to be, mom and that's why I'm worried." Just then my father and siblings came in. "How are you doing Oaks?" My dad asked me making sure I'm okay.

"She is okay, Ben. She has a small brain bleed, but the doctor thinks it will resolve itself," mom answers his question for me. Mom and dad go out into the hall to talk about what the doctor said. Noah came right next to me and asked if mom knew I was pregnant. I told him that she suspected then I fainted, but she knows for sure now since I got an ultrasound. How am I supposed to tell my father now? Mom should tell him, but it is my secret. I guess I should make the cake.

We stayed at the hospital for the night and I didn't have to go to school on Monday because I was still under observation for a few hours. The food they gave me was okay and they gave me some prenatal vitamins. The doctors told me to relax and rest when I got home and for a couple of weeks, but I couldn't stop worrying about how my dad will react. Once we got home, I went into my room and just laid down and was watching tv. The next couple of days were pretty much the same. My mom was bringing me food, water, and anything that I needed.

On Thursday, I started to feel up to baking, so I started to bake a chocolate cake. When the cake was baking I sat down to rest like the doctors said. After the cake cooled I made buttercream frosting and frosted the cake. I then wrote on the cake You're going to be a grandpa! I'm going to bring it out after dinner and give it to my dad. Hopefully, he takes it well.

A few hours after resting it was time for dinner and the cake that I am extremely nervous about. We ate a delicious dinner and before my dad left the table I asked him if he could stay at the table. After everyone else left the table, except my mom because she wanted to support me. I told my dad that I made a cake for him and that I had news to tell him. I brought the cake out and set it right in front of him. He read what was on the cake and his face changed immediately.
