Dad's face was full of anger and disappointment. He didn't say anything for what felt like a very long time, but in reality, was only a few minutes. I was anxiously waiting for him to answer, which isn't good for my health especially right now.
"You're pregnant!" He said with rage. I just nodded my head afraid to speak. He was absolutely furious at me. Was it because I had sex before marriage, had sex with Matthew, or got pregnant. Probably all of the above to be totally honest.
"I am so utterly disappointed in you and I want you out of the house after the three weeks of rest the doctor prescribed." My dad angrily yelled. Why is he taking this so badly? I thought he would've been fine with it, well I knew he would be mad, but I didn't think he would kick me out of the house and practically disown me! I ran up to my room and began to cry into my pillow. Mom came to my room half an hour later. "Honey, I tried to reason with your dad, but he isn't budging. I can give you some money, but not a lot. I'm sorry," she apologetically said. I love my mother so much for offering that to me and because she does everything for everyone in this house. I'm going to do something very special for mother's day, which is a long way away. I wouldn't have wanted to be a burden for her with my baby anyway.
"It's okay mom, not your fault," I told her in between sobs. She left my room and I decided to call Derek. He didn't pick up right away, so I tried Lily and she was busy too. I wish I didn't lose all of my friends. Suddenly I got a text from Alex that told me to text him the news, so I texted him and told him I was pregnant and that Matthew broke up with me. I guess now I just wait for him to text back. I finally stopped crying and did some of the homework that I've missed while resting. I did about an hour of homework and my phone was ringing. It was Derek, so I answered. "Hey Oaks, sorry I missed you I was out with my family." He sincerely said.
"It's okay Derek, I just needed someone to talk to," I said reassuringly.
"Do you still want to talk," he asked me.
"My dad is kicking me out of the house in a few weeks after I recover a little more from my hospital visit."
"Oh no!! I'm so sorry, Oakley," he sincerely said. He then offered for me to stay at his house, but I wasn't sure if his father, the minister, would let me stay in his house or not. Shortly after, we hung up. A little later Lily called me and we had a similar conversation, but her mom would most likely let me live with them, I hope. I can't live on the streets, I'm pregnant and have to go to school. I guess I should probably look for a job or just start applying to places online. I started to apply to places online and I realized that most places wouldn't hire a 15-year-old, but it was worth a try. I applied at Walmart, Target, Mcdonald's, Casa Latte, The Ice Cream Shoppe, and all the local restaurants to see if I could become a hostess.
It was getting late, so I should probably go to bed soon. I wanted to go take a shower when I saw my little sister, Bonnie, crying. I went into her room and asked her what was wrong. "I heard dad yelling at you," she paused to sniffle "he is kicking you out," she said as tears ran down her face. I went over to her bed and sat next to her.
"Bonnie, you don't need to cry. I am going to be okay. I will stay at Lily's house or Derek's house. You will see all the time and you can come over to one of their houses when I am there to visit. You can also text me and call me." I said trying to reassure her.
"Oakley, it isn't the same as seeing you every day! Why did dad kick you out anyway?"
"Well, Bonnie, you are going to be an aunt in about seven months. I am pregnant with Matthew's baby and I know you being 13 might not know much about this, but I will answer questions if you have them."
"You're pregnant! I'm going to be an aunt!! I am so excited!" I can't believe she isn't mad at me or anything! I am so relieved. I went back into my room to grab my towel and then went to go take a shower. After my shower, I got dressed in a blue nightgown. I went to sleep with the scary thought of getting kicked out of my house in a few weeks.
