It was almost 3 AM when they arrived in Mumbai and it took one more hour to get to Paridhi's house in Jogeshwari. Darshan parked the car under her building and turned towards Paridhi who had fallen asleep around 1.30 AM. He turned in his seat and just gazed at her for a few minutes, not wanting to wake her up. She looked so beautiful and peaceful in her sleep that Darshan didn't have the heart to disturb her.
He just stared at her, reliving the moment when she had said those 3 magical words he had been dying to hear. Kissing her, realizing that she loved him had been the best moments in his life. He reached out and gently pushed away the strand of hair that had fallen on her face. He froze when she stirred. She looked so cute when she made an annoyed expression in her sleep. Few more moments passed and all of sudden she jolted up. Darshan chuckled when he saw her disoriented and confused."What.." she began to ask sleepily and then looked around, realizing that they were parked under her building.
"Ohh we reached home." She muttered and turned to Darshan when he took her hand into his. "Go home and sleep, jaan. I will call you once I get a new phone." Paridhi frowned at that.
"Yes, I was wondering why you didn't have your phone with you. What happened? Did you lose it?" She asked and Darshan's expressions flickered. Then he nodded.
"Yeah, kind of lost. I will order a new phone once I get home." Paridhi continued frowning at that, but Darshan shook his head. "It's fine, no big deal. I was anyways going to buy the latest iPhone. Don't worry about it. I have my sim cards with me." Paridhi nodded at that and looked out.
"I should go now, it's really late and you must be tired." Darshan nodded but sat silently staring at her, not wanting to let her go. He had just gotten her and didn't want to part with her even for a moment.
Paridhi too, was hesitant to leave, as if everything was like a dream for her and it would end once she left. But she had to go as she noticed Darshan's tired eyes and felt his weariness. He was really exhausted and needed to rest. She sighed.
"Good night Darshan." She said and unbuckled her seatbelt. She turned to open the door but was pulled backward by two strong hands. It happened so fast and unexpectedly that she didn't even realize when he flipped her and how she landed in his lap, straddling and facing him. His hands rested on her hip, his face inches away from her. She gasped at the intensity of desire burning in his eyes which had turned dark.
"Darshan..." She breathed out and the next moment his lips crashed onto hers. They kissed passionately and only pulled away when they both were breathless."Fuck..." Darshan cursed when he felt his jeans tighten and desire surge through his body. "You need to get out of here, fast." He rasped out, his voice strained. "I won't be able to control myself if you stay here for one more minute." He continued, his voice husky and his eyes dark.
Paridhi blushed, her heart racing and slipped into the passenger seat. It was when she got into the lift, she realized that she was still wearing Darshan's jacket. She brought up the sleeve to her nose and breathed in again, taking in his husky smell. Darshan had to take a cold shower when he reached home as a result of that hot make-out session. The next morning, he put his sim cards into an old spare phone and texted Paridhi as soon as the phone started working. He waited for an hour, but there was no reply, so getting concerned, he called her. He was relieved when she answered the call.
"Hey, jaan. I had texted you, why didn't you reply?" Darshan asked and heard someone giggle. "Darshan it's me Preeti. Actually, Paridhi is in a trial room. We are in a mall, for shopping and she is trying out a dress." Preeti told him and Darshan frowned.
"Ok, ask her to call me when she gets free." He said disappointed. He then proceeded to order his iPhone.Paridhi, who had woken up at 11 had called her mom immediately and asked her to reject the marriage proposal of Vishal. She had given a few excuses when her mother had protested and sighed with relief when her mother finally agreed to reject the proposal. Paridhi had then proceeded to call Preeti and asked her to go shopping with her. Now that she knew Darshan liked her and she had confessed her feelings too, she knew she was going to spend more time with him. She needed better and new clothes. And she also needed to tell Preeti everything. She didn't know if Darshan wanted to keep whatever relation between them a secret or not, but she definitely was allowed to tell Preeti because she suspected Hardik knew about Darshan's feelings too. She had told Preeti everything over a cheeseburger and Preeti was freaking out.
"You kissed fucking Darshan Raval!" Preeti almost shouted.
"Shhh....chaipattii! Shut up. Don't announce it to the café like this. I don't know if Darshan wants to keep this a secret or not. He is a celebrity, this will directly affect his career and image. And we haven't discussed anything about this yet. And it's not like I kissed him, it's more like He kissed Me." Paridhi said, blushing as she remembered the last night. Preeti couldn't lose the opportunity to tease her.
"Ahhaa, someone's blushing. I want all the details. How was the kiss? Is he a good kisser? Are you going to have sex now?"
"CHAIPATTI!"
Both of them burst into laughter at that. "Seriously Pari, I am glad to see you so happy. I am happy that you finally found the right guy." Preeti said, holding Paridhi's hand and Paridhi sighed.
"Yes, I should have listened to you. Nikhil wasn't the right guy for me. He can't be the right guy for any girl. I...I am just glad that he is out of my life. And yes, Darshan really makes me happy. His mere presence is enough to make my day. But sometimes I wonder..." She trailed off, suddenly looking sad.
"Pari? Kuch problem hai kya? Gharwalo ne to shadi cancel kar di na? So what...?" Paridhi shook her head at Preeti's questions.
"I just...Preeti I am an ordinary girl. A manager/PA, I just wonder if I am the right girl for him? He is a superstar, a legend and millions of girls die for him. Does he really love me or is this just an attraction or a simple crush for him? How could a guy like him, fall for someone like me?" Paridhi voiced her doubts and Preeti shook her head.
"Offo Pari, tum khud nahi janti tum kitni acchi ho. You are really beautiful in a different kind of way and your heart is so pure that anyone could fall in love with you. In fact, as much as I reacted, I wasn't really surprised when you told me that Darshan kissed you. I knew that once he got to know you properly, spent enough time with you, he was going to fall for you. And he did. Come on, admit it, I am never wrong. I was right in the case of Nikhil and I am right in the case of Darshan too. He loves you, he really does. From what you have told me about him, from what I have seen and heard, Darshan is a 'one-woman' kind of guy. He wouldn't have kissed you if he didn't truly love you. Trust me on this."
Though Paridhi wasn't entirely convinced, she decided to let go of her doubts. She will come to know eventually if he loved her or not. She just hoped that this time her heart wasn't going to break, because if it did, she wouldn't survive it.//The story is coming to an end. Just a few chapters left.
